The largest retail network of electronics M.Video announces end of the first stage of the project of control automation by logistics and goods flows in the information system SAP for Retail directed to increase in efficiency of logistic processes of retail network.

The M.Video company uses SAP solutions since 2006 when in a system were implemented financial, managerial and personnel records. In two years the decision that SAP for Retail becomes a corporate information system of retail network was made, and then the main stages of further works on automation were defined. In 2008 the company began the project within which there were proaudirovana and changes of business processes of a logistic circuit of the company are made, the decision on implementation of the modules of SAP supporting processes in a supply chain is made. As a result of the tender for the choice of the partner in implementation of the logistic module SAP for Retail held in February, 2009, a choice was made for benefit of CIBER Russia company which was a general contractor on SAP implementation in such large Russian retail networks as Euroset, Tape, Victoria Group, "your House".
During the general project it was planned:
implement new business process of maintaining purchase orders taking into account control of the budget of a funds expenditure; increase the accuracy of information on stocks due to its reflection in the SAP for Retail system; make SAP for Retail main system on management of merchandising in architecture of solutions of M.Video; increase transparency of settlement with suppliers and control of accounts payable and also to connect in a system settlings with suppliers with planning of cash flows. Within the volume of the first stage of the project business processes were automated:
Logistics purchase of goods from the import supplier; purchase of goods from the Russian supplier; the entering transportation; goods acceptance on purchase from the import supplier; goods acceptance on purchase from the Russian supplier; inventory; control of accounts of logistics; claim activity with suppliers. Management of basic data and data migration. Management of roles and authorization. Budget of payments and obligations. Formation of logistic reports in the system of a business intelligence SAP BI. Integration with external systems: SAP ERP, warehouse control system and corporate IT system. Development of accounting on a SCD. As a result of the first stage of the project the following positive results are achieved:
the management system for master data is standardized process of the order and goods acceptance is improved; planning process and order placements is integrated with processes of operational logistics; the new quality level in vendor relationship management is reached; purchase management is integrated with management of SAP FI finance; business processes of management of purchases are automated; stability of a system is increased. For only several months the project team of M.Video together with consultants of CIBER optimized our business processes in the field of purchases, transportation and movements of goods. Thanks to the fine organization and strict planning the project managed to be completed just in time and within the budget.
