The Russian Navigation Technologies (RNT) company announced in May, 2011 the beginning of the second stage of the project on system implementation of a GLONASS/GPS of monitoring of Avtotreker transport in JSC Stoilensky Mining and Beneficiation Plant (SMBP), one of leading enterprises of Russia on raw materials production volume for ferrous metallurgy.
System implementation Avtotreker in SGOK allowed to solve the main objective – to achieve full control of operation of the motor transportation park. During the project at the enterprise the dispatching center was created, the aircraft equipment (the onboard Avtotreker block, sensors, wiring, antennas, the systems of protection) is installed, processed under requirements of the customer of software, preparing the reporting. It allowed to keep track continuously of location and movements of transport and special equipment, to control speed regulation characteristics, fuel consumption and observance of the mode of operation (time of departure and return to a garage, arrivals on objects and observance of a route). The analysis of this information allowed to reveal and liquidate equipment downtimes, to reduce operating costs, to lower requirements to the number of the park and to increase efficiency of its work.
Singularity of this project is connected with need of the solution of two enough difficult technical tasks. First, a big variety of transport (to heavy-load 130-ton dump dump trucks, butoboya and other specialized mountain equipment) demanded study of a set of options of placement of an aircraft equipment and laying of connection cables from buses and cars. Secondly, it was necessary to apply non-standard schemes of wiring and special connecting connectors – to execute requirements of the customer to reliability, higher in comparison with industry regulations, and also mechanical - and an equipment electrical protection.
The project which began in 2010 with "pilot" is broken into queues. At the first stage developmental developments were carried out, the corporate dispatching center is created and infrastructure of collecting and data processing is adjusted. Besides, onboard sets equipped 124 units of transport of different types. Now the second stage providing connection to the system of 116 more units of transport and special equipment is begun. For 2012 development of a system is planned: increase in number of the CU, connected to a monitoring system, and equipment of the transport park by the additional sensors allowing to exercise more difficult control of work of transport and use of the additional hardware.
"The mountain equipment is expensive at acquisition and in service therefore identification of opportunities of more intensive use of already available resources is extremely important for any large GOKA. And as transport and special equipment are integrated into technology chains, violation of work of one piece of equipment often causes cascade effect. Decrease in this risk and an opportunity without delay to correct a situation saves a rhythm of work of the enterprise and prevents losses, – Tatyanin Alexander, the director of information technologies of JSC Stoilensky GOK says. – We considered system implementation of monitoring of transport as the complete solution of these tasks, and aimed to select the scalable platform of monitoring integrating reliability of the equipment with broad functionality. Having selected development of RNT, we were not mistaken".
