Bell Integrator acted as the contractor of the solution "Parental control" for subscribers of the Home Internet Beeline

The Bell Integrator company completed the works on implementation and system testing of the network analysis and control of Internet traffic of FTTB users of JSC VimpelCom. The project received the name "Parental control" for subscribers of House Internet and consists in a possibility of obtaining reports on stay of the child on the Internet, the time supervision spent for net surfing and use of the Internet filters allowing to cut Internet content with the inadmissible contents.

The solution ensuring functioning of new service is based on the Symantec Next Generation Networks Protection (NGNP) platform limiting access to the Websites of inadmissible contents on the basis of the analysis of URL of requests. The second component of the complete solution is the antivirus protection when viewing Internet pages and e-mails in real time which is based on the built-in module of Symantec company.

As one of the bases for start of development of service "Parental control and the Antivirus" representatives of JSC VimpelCom call results of the research conducted by the company in 2009.

"According to data of a research, 55% of respondents are sure that the provider should provide protection against viruses, 74% - believe that the provider should provide solutions for security on the Internet for adults and children, and 70% - consider content filtering by the most useful service from provider", - the Resident of Veliky Ustyug Dmitry, the Head of Department of information security of JSC VimpelCom comments on the decision of the Company on service start.

The created solution will become available in the summer of 2011 and first of all will cover all traffic of the subscribers of fixed connection using broadband access to the Internet on FTTB technology. In the future this service will become available and for the subscribers of mobile communication using technologies 3G/EDGE/GPRS for Internet access.

Having connected service Parental control in Personal account, subscribers of House Internet from Beeline will be able to operate with one hundred categories of blocking of content which are subdivided into age (up to 7 years, from 7 to 12 years, 13 years are more senior) and thematic. It will allow to limit, if necessary, such opportunities as commission of online purchases or file sharing, access to online games or advertizing, etc. The new service will allow to perform also network anti-virus scanning of the traffic arriving on the user's computer. Additional installation of any additional software on the home computer of the user will not be required, as well as further independent updating of anti-virus databases.

Experts of Bell Integrator company also note that this solution practically does not enter additional delays at an information access, does not affect the speed of net surfing and does not depend on the operating system, the browser or the software used by users of service.
