Inoventica will provide reliability of own ICT infrastructure using the equipment of Nokia Siemens Networks

INOVENTICA group - the first IT operator of a full stroke in providing the services based on "cloud computing" and Nokia Siemens Networks signed the agreement on supply of equipment of DWDM.

Within strategy implementation regarding development of own backbone networks the INOVENTICA group signed the agreement with Nokia Siemens Networks on delivery of the latest equipment of wavelength division multiplexing of DWDM.

INOVENTICA selected equipment supplier based on the held tender in which eight hardware companies of a transport network took part. The total cost of the contract with the system integrator was several hundred millions of rubles.

In addition to the price existence of the built-in function λ-switching was the main criterion when choosing the supplier, to the available data of the similar systems of national scale with such functionality allowing to provide in INOVENTICA under construction geoclusters high degree of reliability of a system due to automatic use of reserve routes at the Software level up to 100 Gbit/sec. in Russia not yet.

According to competitive conditions Nokia Siemens Networks will supply the equipment of DWDM more than on 400 nodes of INOVENTICA network. It is supposed that the equipment will be installed on all network of the IT operator which total length will be 20 - 25 thousand km. Capacity by 2-4 times will exceed the capacity of backbone networks which is totally involved today by all telecom operators and will reach 8 Tbit / with on each section of network.

The conditions stated above will allow the INOVENTICA group to cover about 70% of potential consumers of "cloud" services and possible partners in projects.
