Eaton Ellipse ECO

Thanks to the built-in function of EcoControl, the upgraded Ellipse UPS provides to 25% economy of energy in comparison with products of the previous generation. This economy is reached due to auto disconnect of peripheral equipment at switching off of a master device.

The compact Ellipse ECO UPS provides protection of a power supply for a different production and commercial electronic equipment, including the PC, workstations, the telephone equipment and point-of-sale terminals. Like the predecessor, the Ellipse ECO UPS has topology of off-line and protects office equipment from the main problems in power supply, such as loss, failure and bump. Eaton Ellipse ECO is delivered in 5 options of power – from 500 to 1600 VA.

The 500, 650 and 800 VA models are equipped with four sockets, three of which with protection against voltage surges and back supply against batteries, and one – only with protection against voltage surges; the 1200 and 1600 models are equipped with four sockets with protection against voltage surges and back supply against batteries, and four more – only with protection against a skachkovnapryazheniye. UPSes are issued with sockets of the French (FR), Schuko (DIN) or IEC standards.

The EcoControl function implemented in the UPS with the USB interface is activated and configured using the free software for management of power supply. The UPS is equipped with one main socket for the desktop PC and one or two EcoControl sockets for noncritical peripheral devices.

The Ellipse ECO UPS differs in ultraplanar construction and a set of options of installation, including option of vertical installation under a table, horizontal arrangement under the monitor and also a possibility of installation in a rack or on a wall using additional fixing sets. To similarly previous models, the small Ellipse ECO size allows to set easily it in the conditions of limited space.

The Ellipse ECO UPS is compatible to the most widespread operating systems for the PC, including Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. Software updatings of management of power supply can be loaded from the website of Eaton corporation.

The Eaton Ellipse ECO UPS will go on sale in June, 2011 instead of Ellipse ASR.

Eaton Ellipse PRO

Eaton announced in June, 2013 start of a new series of the compact energy efficient uninterruptible power supply units (UPSU) in the countries of Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EMEA). New UPSes are developed especially for protection of the workstations and small servers which are carrying out crucial tasks. They are equipped with output sockets with the EcoControl function allowing to save up to 20% of the electric power, the device of protection against voltage surges (ASR), to completely relevant requirements of the IEC 616431-1 standard and also the big LCD display which provides to users all necessary information.

Eaton Ellipse PRO UPSes provide effective protection against data loss and damage to machinery for a wide range of users, including IT managers of small and medium-sized companies, owners of small business and also private users having the expensive IT equipment. Devices are offered with the standard three-year guarantee.

Ellipse PRO UPS UPSes are issued in four standard sizes: 650 BA, 850 BA, 1200 BA and 1600 BA. They are constructed on linearly - the interactive scheme and equipped with automatic control of the output level (AVR) with compensation of the lowered and increased tension thanks to what provide stable voltage output even if tension on an input changes with the broad range from 150 V to 285 V. The built-in device of protection against voltage surges limits overvoltage caused, for example, by near lightning discharges and is supplied with the indicator of correct work. In addition to protection against voltage surges in a supply line, the Ellipse PRO UPS perform protection of information lines, including broadband and Ethernet-connections.

The UPS can be installed horizontally or vertically that significantly simplifies their placement. Besides, additional sets for installation on a wall or in a rack are offered.

All models are equipped with the energy saving EcoControl function which can join and be turned off by the user. It automatically stops operation of peripheral devices, such as printers and external hard drives, in case of power off of their master device (usually the PC). Specialists of Eaton company believe that it will provide power saving to 15% for the 650 BA UPS and 850 BA, and up to 20% for the 1200 BA UPS and 1600 BA.

All new Eaton UPSes are delivered with a disk on which there is a software compatible to the Windows platform which allows to manage safe system shutdown at violation of network power supply. In addition, given software offers electricity metering function and also access to event logs and an UPS status.
