Consultants of A2 Consulting company implemented the QlikView system in retail chain stores the Oriental carpet. A project objective - the analysis of sales and stocks for acceptance of management decisions.

Application: "Analysis of sales and stocks for category managers"

The solved business challenges from BI QlikView:

  • 1. Stock analysis (goods turnover rates, sufficiency of a trade inventory, etc.).
  • 2. Analysis of the range (sales pattern, deficiency).
  • 3. Analysis of cost of sales and gross profit.
  • 4. The consolidated workplace of the director of shopping center.

The "Analysis of Sales and Stocks for Retail Chain Stores" application it is intended for managers of categories of goods. The analyzed sphere: the purchasing amount, purchase price, discounts, sales volume, income, profitability, inventory turnover on days, sufficiency of a remaining balance, slowly moving goods, cost value of a remaining balance.

All indicators are given according to measurements of goods (category, group, subgroup, the producer, shop (warehouse), the supplier.

The analysis happens on functional tabs:

  • The panel of management is KPI for the management.
  • Sales - the analysis of sales volume, goods quantity, profitability on each position and the check.
  • Stocks - the analysis of frozen stocks, turnover, stocks of products on shops.
  • The range - for assortment management.
  • Analysis of sales and stocks.
  • ABC-XYZ.
  • Comparison - the periods, products, shops, suppliers
  • Transactions are all operations with documents (including checks)
  • Suppliers managers for job analysis with each supplier and performance indicators of managers.

The Oracle BI version was in parallel considered, but advantages of the QlikView system were obvious – because instead of OLAP in it more modern in-memory technology is used, its implementation was several times faster (so and less expensive), besides, its power allows to analyze our data, up to checks and transactions without creation of the data warehouse.

Except the solved tasks on implementation in the field of the analysis each manager had an opportunity to instantly receive the answer to any question and to apply analytics in work, finding answers to questions.
