The I2 CIS company announces a successful completion of the project of automation of a warehouse complex of the Nizhny Novgorod confectionery company "Avgust". The implementation project of the modern warehouse management system Exceed WMS 4000 (Infor WM NG) lasted 5 months. Full automation of warehouse infrastructure according to business processes of the enterprise was during this time performed, the necessary equipment is supplied, the warehouse personnel are trained. The area of the distribution center was 4000 sq.m., the warehouse is expected 7000 thousand pallets.

The Avgust company is included into the large confectionery holding including the enterprises "Progress", "Moskovsky konditer", "Bogorodskaya konditerskaya fabrika" and is the leader in the Nizhny Novgorod market of confectionery. Products of the company come practically to all regions of Russia and the CIS country.

For providing an uninterrupted supply of the products in retail chain stores and for the purpose of decrease in logistic costs in general the company management made the decision about equipment of a warehouse complex the advanced WMS system.

After system assessment of the solutions presented on the tender, the Avgust company selected the EXceed WMS 4000 system. The functionality and flexibility of a system allowing to automate in details processes of storage, accounting and distribution of all range of goods became the main selection terms.

Implementation of EXceed WMS 4000 in a warehouse of Avgust company covers all transactions of warehouse processing of goods, in particular, acceptance and accounting of weight goods, placement of goods, complete and partial replenishment, a complete set using RF technologies, a cycle and complete inventory. Within the project work with the mezzanine – a zone of shelf storage of goods in small volumes was organized, composite replenishment of a warehouse by the mixed pallets from the storage area is implemented. Selection and replenishment of goods is executed taking into account requirements to remaining period of the validity of goods (Shelf Life).

Thanks to the solution EXceed WMS (Infor WM NG) reliable information about a status of a warehouse became in real time available to all interested services that increased supply chain visibility in general.
