ANO Yugramegasport implemented complex infrastructure from Cisco

In the Center of winter sports of A.V. Filipenko using solutions of Cisco modern IT infrastructure is constructed.

Solution of a task

The project of creation of a system of communications of the center was developed by Cisco company together with the partner - Svyaz-Ekspert company. The basis of network is formed by Cisco switches 6504. They provided flexible and permanent data exchange, increased the level of fault tolerance and information transmission rate. For protection of network, reflection of the attacks and also for an intrusion prevention and fight against malware the solution Cisco ASA 5520 is used. For data transmission on IP networks 400 ports are provided what allows to connect IP phones and wireless devices to communication channels and the Internet.

Considering need of ensuring mobility of communications of personnel, sportscasters and visitors, the wireless network based on Cisco AIR-WLC4402 controllers was unrolled and 150 unified Cisco IP phones of series 7916, 7925G, 7965G are connected. They support a number of modern services, such as video conferences and information transfer in real time on screens of devices.

Results

The created network keeps in fixed connection, services of unified communications of Cisco, wireless data transmission in any point of stadium with a speed up to 1 Gbit/sec. The solutions Cisco will provide biathlon competitions of the international level and cross-country skiing according to the international standards, will allow to expand possibilities of fans and corporate users, will increase effective management of stadium.

Problem solving of security is complicated by the fact that the total length of skiing runs is about 15 km. Organize constant control behind objects and ensure safety of holding sporting events the system of IP video surveillance of Cisco VSM (Cisco Video Surveillance Manager) allows. It represents the full-function video system integrating the equipment for video filming and broadcasting per network of a digital video, sound and details with the software for control of IP devices, record, storage and reproduction of video data and the analysis of video records. Using a wireless network data transmission from 35 video cameras of high resolution on the receiver is performed. During sporting events the staff of the center can browse all territory in real time that helps to manage better the movement of big mass of people and to quickly obtain the necessary information.

The built network provides high and reliable data transfer rate that allows to organize online broadcasts of competitions.
