T-Systems received global ICT infrastructure of Magna on outsourcing

On June 2, 2011 it became known that Magna charged to T-Systems management of the global ICT of infrastructure and its upgrade. T-Systems will manage ICT in 80 divisions of Magna company worldwide. Monthly expenses on SAP with the IT flexible system will significantly be cut down. "Cloud" services are provided from a highly protected Data storage center of T-Systems – "T-center".

Now the automobile industry faces such features as significantly shorter lifecycle of vehicles and more strict requirements to cars. The "lean" production, exact and timely information and communication infrastructure allowing to integrate directly more difficult world supply channels into production is decisive factor. For support and upgrade of the IT system, networks and applications, Magna, the world supplier of vehicles, selected T-Systems company.

Cloud services

From now on Magna will receive the applications "from a cloud". Using dynamic "cloud" service Magna can reserve or cancel quickly the order for IT resources for the systems worldwide as required. Thus, Magna will pay only for actually consumed resources.
