.NET Forge CMS is a management system for the websites for web developer who know and love .NET technologies. In .NET Forge CMS the concept of the Hermitage interface which is applied a year in "1C-Bitrix is implemented: Management of the website". The technology of a mnogosaytovost for creation of several websites on one copy with different domain names was provided to .NET Forge CMS 6.0. All websites work within one application. The Mnogosaytovost works as well at a virtual hosting.

The technology of the managed caching (Cache Dependencies) implemented in .NET Forge CMS 6.0 serves for automatic update of data right after their change. This technology allows to display changes on the website, without waiting for updating of a cache which is made by a system during the set time frames. Support of work with SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) in online store is built in a product. On one goods it is possible to add different price offers depending on properties or characteristics now (for example, color of a shirt, clothing size, a car complete set).

.NET Forge CMS is created on the basis of a product "1C-Bitrix: Management of the website ASP.NET". Development "1C-Bitrix: Management of the website ASP.NET" is complete. .NET Forge CMS develops as a separate independent product.

.NET Forge CMS 7.0

• full integration with the Windows platform of Azure (with cloud infrastructure, the cloud storage of Windows Azure Storage, a cloud DB of SQL Azure, a cloud cache of Windows Azure AppFabric Cache), with support of unlimited number of copies of applications and with scaling of applications;
• complex support of Web Farm from Microsoft;
• integration with Microsoft Visual Studio of 2010 with a possibility of development of the website on .NET Forge CMS directly in the environment of Microsoft Visual Studio.

In .NET Forge CMS 7.0 support of unlimited number of copies of applications and automatic synchronization between machines is implemented that excludes data loss. All this allows to increase reliability of the web project, to solve a performance concern at peak loads, for example, in seasonal peaks of sales of online store. Besides, Windows Azure simplifies creation of Internet services using .NET technology, almost completely removing from the developer of care of setup of such "trifles" as services of shared access to files or scaling of the project.

Now developers can create the websites in the usual environment, using all opportunities of Microsoft Visual Studio of 2010.

For simplification of integration into Microsoft Azure the free converter of the website is developed for Microsoft Azure which is delivered as a win-application. The converter will help to transfer correctly to Windows Azure structure of the website and data. Starting with version 7.0, .NET Forge CMS it is delivered in three editions: Community Edition which is distributed for free, the commercial Business edition and new edition "Web cluster" including support of the Windows platform of Azure and Web Farm. The cost of new edition "Web cluster" is 99900 rubles. Clients of Business edition with active technical support can pass free of charge to new edition on demand.

In version 7.0 the new module "Mailings" which is switched on in Business edition and Web cluster is also implemented.

15,000,000 pages a day – a simple task for the .NET Forge CMS platform

The 1C-Bitrix company announced in September, 2012 a successful completion of stress testing of the product .NET Forge CMS. Preparation of the testing methodology, carrying out load tests and data analysis were carried out by TACK Software company on the equipment of Infobox hosting provider. Testing took place with the assistance of the Russian department of Microsoft.

.NET Forge CMS represents a powerful management system for the website based on the ASP.NET platform that defines the sphere of its application in the corporate sector, especially if other services in the company work at the Microsoft platform. A system facilitates work on creation of the website, considerably reducing costs for their development and accelerating process.

.NET Forge CMS the visual editor, the Hermitage interface, blogs with support of Windows Live Writer, caching of data, online store with advanced logic of discounts and many other things includes convenient tools for management of the website, among them. .NET Forge CMS is integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, the Windows platform of Azure, support of Web Farm Framework from Microsoft is implemented.

The testing purpose – to estimate product opportunities for work in the environment focused on corporate services.

Testing solved the following problems:

• assessment of the maximum load (the number of the pages generated and received by the user per second) which standard editions are capable to maintain;
• software performance assessment on different configurations of test environments;
• assessment of high-speed performance of software at different loadings;
• assessment of stability of behavior of software at the maximum loads through carrying out 24-hour tests;
• identification of restrictions of a configuration, determination of methods of further scaling and optimization.

In testing possibilities of the following editions .NET Forge CMS were investigated:

• Community-edition: free edition with ample opportunities for creation of the websites of communities, blogs, the personal websites and other types of solutions;
• Business edition for creation of online stores, the websites with a high load for which issues of scaling, fault tolerance and security are crucial;
• Web cluster for creation of online stores, the websites with a high load – the system including support of the Windows platform of Azure and Web Farm.

As a result of testing all editions of the product .NET Forge CMS showed stable work and high rates of performance. The received results on one dedicated server in a standard configuration exceed requirements of the majority of the high-loaded projects:

• 13,800,000 pages a day for Community-edition;
• 15,000,000 pages a day for Business edition.

At consolidation of several servers in a cluster in practice it was succeeded to reach performance of 44,000,000 pages in day. For testing the Intel Xeon e3-1270 servers of a standard configuration placed in data center of Infobox were used. By all machines MS Windows Server 2008 R2 is set.

A series of 24-hour tests with the maximum loads revealed stability of work of .NET Forge CMS that allows to guarantee smooth operation of the websites on the platform at peak loads.
