The Federal Institute of Industrial Property implements the system of maintaining the state registry of trademarks

CROC together with FIPS Federal State Institution automate the system of maintaining the state register of trademarks and service marks.

Results

The CROC company and "Federal Institute of Industrial Property of Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks" (FIPS Federal State Institution) Federal state institution completed the first stage of implementation of the electronic State register of trademarks and service marks of the Russian Federation and the system of maintaining the register (AS of "EGR"). In one and a half years from the moment of commissioning, in the State register of trademarks and service marks of the Russian Federation with use of AS of "EGR" more than 100,000 records are made. In May the second version of AS of "EGR" is implemented in operation.

Opinion

"Today information technologies play a key role not only in business, but also in public administration. Earlier maintaining the State register of trademarks and service marks happened on paper carriers that significantly delayed information exchange between Rospatent and public authorities. Automation of a system of maintaining the State register allowed to reach qualitatively new interoperability layer" — Alexey Gvinepadze, the associate director of FIPS Federal State Institution reported.

Execution

In the project progress the uniform source containing all necessary data of the State registry, providing online access to information, including, via the Internet is created. The procedure of entering of information into the State register is performed in an electronic format without use of paper carriers. All changes are published on the website as introduction that allows to provide quickly information to public authorities, citizens and the organizations.

Objectives

Further it is supposed to transfer the existing paper technologies of maintaining state registries of inventions, useful models and industrial samples, registers of the computer programs, databases and topology of integrated microcircuits to the EGR AS platform.
