Content

The main goal of the project is the introduction of Microsoft Dynamics NAV for one of the clients of Deloitte, a large distributor of computer equipment.

Project objectives

Avenir IT Solutions was tasked with implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics NAV for the customer. As part of the project, it was required to make a transition from the accounting system previously used by Deloitte for accounting for a client in Russia, to improve the standard functionality for working with VAT, RBP, additional printing plates, to introduce a number of own improvements that improve the functionality and usability of the system.

Decision

Solving the set tasks required a preliminary thorough analysis of the business processes and financial transactions of the client. The analysis of the system requirements showed that the customer needs to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV, which includes improvements to the standard functionality for working with VAT, RBP, additional printing plates, and a number of additional tools provided by Avenir IT Solutions that improve the functionality and usability of the system. The implementation of these additions was successful and within the specified time frame.

Data was transferred to Microsoft Dynamics NAV:

  • transfer of reference books;
  • transfer of the balance sheet to the beginning of 2010;
  • all operations for the first half of the year.

Avenir IT Solutions specialists conducted a training for a group of accountants who had no previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Project results

The proposed solution, first of all, allowed accounting in accordance with RAS, it became much easier to work with the system, in addition, productivity increased significantly.

The transition to using Microsoft Dynamics NAV took place gradually, after the implementation of the main blocks, the client for some time used the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system in Shadowing mode, when the same operations were taken into account simultaneously in both the old system and in the new one. This allowed accountants to gain the necessary practical experience in the new system and compare the results obtained, checking their compliance with their own expectations and RAS. Annual reporting was submitted based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

As a result of the audit of the system implementation and all changes made to the standard configuration, the company received a positive opinion, there were no complaints about the control and quality of reporting.
