In Levoberezhny bank the financial data warehouse is implemented

The Intersoft Lab company started project implementation of creation of a single system of the class Business Performance Management for multifilial credit institution – Left-bank, in October, 2010.

Goal

The target solution – the data warehouse on the Circuit platform (Oracle DBMS) which will become a basis for automation of applied BPM tasks: preparation of the obligatory reporting for the Bank of Russia, the management reporting, budgeting and other.

Components

The project model includes two data warehouses: the basic is unrolled in Levoberezhny bank, and additional, test – in Primsotsbank. Two installations will exist in parallel before final rapprochement of managerial and reporting methodologies in banks.

Subtleties

Sale of the project model is integrated to need to solve a difficult infrastructure task – to provide two ETL processes on filling of the main and test storages with data.

Execution

Using the integration Informatica PowerCenter platform at a development stage of the ETL solution for data collection of accounting in storage and its transfer to the industrial mode, processes it was succeeded to complete within nine days.

In the beginning, in Levoberezhny bank ETL process elements on loading and reconciliation of data in storage were unrolled and debugged. On implementation week left.

Then migration of these processes in storage in Primsotsbank was performed that took two days.

Intermediate result of the project

In addition to the high speed of data loading in storage, application in the project of the Informatica PowerCenter tools allows Banks to receive the following benefits:

• unloading accounting and analytical the system of bank at data exchange accomplishment – is reached due to transfer on early stages of ETL process of accomplishment of a part of calculations and transformations of primary data in model of storage;

• providing accomplishment of intersystem reconciliations of a total in storage and the accounting systems of bank using the Informatica PowerCenter tools;

• implementation of a feedback between storage and the accounting systems – for this purpose using Informatica PowerCenter is configured transfer to the initial systems of information on results of data loading to storage, including about the found errors in primary data which is required by corrections in the accounting systems;

implement the self-diagnostics mechanism of the ETL solution.
