In "RAO Energy Systems of East" together with Microsoft and GMCS the pilot project on implementation of "a smart power sales system" on the MECOMS platform is implemented. It is the Russia's first similar project.
Implementation Results
Kamchatksenergo entering into "RAO Energy Systems of East" holding, and GMCS company sum up the results of an implementation project of a billing system based on the complete solution for power and utility companies of MECOMS, the company integrator reported on October 17, 2012.
The intelligent billing system is in a status of production operation and provides consumers of Kamchatka Krai with the high level of service at all stages, from consumption before payment.
Details
Deployment of a billing system was performed step by step within 12 months. Within the project inevitably it was necessary to face difficulties with communication channels, characteristic of the region. Thanks to the IT infrastructure which is specially unrolled under the solution it was succeeded to provide uninterrupted data processing, coming from four remote departments performing consumer service to the single database in the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
"Upgrade of infrastructure of sale of utilities is one of the key directions of implementation of the concept of development of intellectual power industry of the Far East which is progressively realized since 2011, – Natalya Valeryevna Shalagina, the associate director on sale of the Kamchatksenergo branch of JSC Energosbyt performing sales functions of the company told. – Today in a billing system processes of sales work with commercial consumers are automated: these are 4,500 enterprises and the organizations of the peninsula. Until the end of 2012 we are going to transfer to service in MECOMS™ of residential consumers is more than 112,000 natural persons".
