Content

"Радеж" - one of the largest grocery chains in the south of Russia. The network manages 100 convenience stores in the Volgograd and Rostov regions, has own greenhouse facility, delivers cookery and self-produced bakery products in shops and services more than 150,000 buyers daily. In network more than 2,500 employees work. In addition to product retail, "Radezh" develops also other directions of business, being an operator of the center of household services and an entertainment complex.

Situation

With growth of business and emergence of large-scale plans for its development it became clear to company management: modern management tools were necessary for maintenance of controllability of the company and preserving flowing Radezhu loudspeakers. First of all – the technological and functional information system which will allow to build uniform account policy and standardizes trade business processes. In addition to scales and diversification of business, the company standardization of trade formats was necessary: the range, the area, the calculation, the principles of pricing and other parameters were individual practically for each of 93 shops of retail chain stores.

Implementation

Creation of the uniform centralized database, standardization of business processes and commodity accounting for all outlets became a main goal of the project. Radezhe considered several options on implementation: unroll basic functionality of a system and finish it independently, implement industry solution for retail based on Microsoft Dynamics AX by own forces or with involvement of consultants. Having unrolled a system and having estimated a scope of work, and also the risks accompanying independent implementation, the management of "Radezha" made the decision for benefit of professional integrators and ready-made industry solution. The CORUS Consulting company became the partner in implementation.

The large-scale project began in 2011 to Specialists of Corus Consulting it was necessary to create the integrated corporate system which will cover all key areas of a company performance – processes of merchandising and financial accounting – and will replace more than 10 earlier used separate software products.

During the project problems of everything of the merchandising circuit existing earlier in one system were integrated: the structure of divisions is saved, their business functions and all tasks are combined in one shell program with separation of access rights on divisions and job responsibilities.

Based on the solution "KORUS|Treasury" were implemented control functions by cash flows that allowed to provide summary planning of payments on all network, to exclude errors of repeated or untimely payment of accounts and to support the set level of liquidity of the company.

The possibility of maintaining assortment matrixes for deliveries to shops in the same system became a touch-up in automation of the company that allowed Radezh company to connect office part of a new system and store programs. The planned effect of implementation of automation of this part process business: reduction of errors of data entry on divisions more than for 40%.

Results

Automation of merchandising, financial accounting and transition of one of the largest retail chain stores of the South of Russia to the unified information system became a project deliverable. Due to goods acceptance process automation load of accounting considerably decreased: the built-in mechanisms of data validation "on an input" reduced input errors more than by 30%, and the automated comparison of structures of delivery and the order allow to keep track of discipline of suppliers. Thanks to automation of functions of treasury of a labor cost of staff of financial department of "Radezha" by planning, processing and carrying out payments were reduced more than by 50%.
