Content

Specialists of the company LANIT upgraded communication systems of hotel "Marriott Grand-Hotel", "Marriott Royal Aurora" and "Marriott the Tver". The solution is implemented on the platform of the equipment Avaya.

At the Beginning

For years of operation a part of communication nodes became morally outdated, and some of them were laid off and support from the producer is stopped. Further use of installed systems could lead to failures and unavailability of communication services to guests of Marriott the Tver. The decision to upgrade the equipment was made.

Implementation

Project works were performed by specialists of LANIT company. During the project the updated solutions of Avaya were used that allowed to cut down the customer's expenses noticeably: the considerable share of component parts did not require replacement. During the project telephone exchanges were upgraded, the new systems of voice mail, the system of tariffing of calls are installed.

Technology

The key engineering solution of the project – replacement of the standard processor of telephone exchange by two duplicative each other of the Avaya S8700 CM5 media server. This solution with the highest indicator of reliability (99.995%) guarantees operability of communication systems in any situation – telephone services will remain are available in full even if one of servers will fail.

Results

According to the results of the project new services became available to guests of hotels and the staff of administration of Marriott, the fault tolerance of communication systems increased.

Andrey Ukraintsev, the area director of Marriott on IT: "Works on replacement of telephone equipment were carried out at night, without interruption of services. All hotels continued to work in the normal mode, and guests of hotels and our employees – more than two thousand registered subscribers – continued to use all communication services. To carry out painless migration on the new equipment, specialists of LANIT do a great job on preliminary preparation, transfer of former settings in the upgraded system and debugging of new services".
