Polycom CX7000

The room system of a video conferencing Polycom CX7000 integrates the software for video transmission and the client for Microsoft Lync. Are included in a set: video camera, microphone, wireless mouse, keyboard and all corresponding connection cables.

Polycom CX7000 system (the code name Rally) was developed especially for integration into Microsoft Lync. Thanks to especially close integration between solutions of Polycom and Microsoft clients receive the intuitive interface, more comfortable environment of the joint communications and faultless quality of telepresence. CX7000 integrates in the single self-configured system all possibilities of Lync necessary for clients (presence, instant messaging, Internet meetings, joint work over content) together with the leading solutions of Polycom for group video cooperation. Releasing CX7000, Polycom raises a bar for solutions of the joint communications based on Lync, doing possible joint work over documents in real time according to video – what today any system based on standards is not capable of.

Using the calendar of Microsoft Exchange users can make the schedule of video conferences, receive invitations and be connected to the current negotiations. The interface is so easy to use that its use does not require additional training.

CX7000 was provided at the Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference conference which was taking place in July, 2011 in Los Angeles.

Solution CX7000 is a part of a complex line of the CX devices of Polycom corporation optimized for use with Microsoft Lync for the maximum convenience of users. Cross-platform interaction with Lync is implemented also for all components of infrastructure Polycom® UC Intelligent Core™, family of solutions of telepresence (from desktop and group to systems with complete immersion) and endpoints of a voice communication. Polycom continues to cooperate with Microsoft over ensuring cross-platform interaction of products of Polycom, including CX7000 system, with the cloud packet of Microsoft Office 365 offered through Lync Online.

Expanded interaction of the systems of Polycom with Microsoft Lync covers four key areas:

• Standard wireless telephones of Polycom. Polycom® KIRK® Wireless DECT and Polycom® SpectraLink® Wi-Fi are the first wireless telephones displaying and transmitting information on calls and contacts through Microsoft® Lync™. Polycom SpectraLink WiFi also allows to use information on availability and to exchange instant messages. Wireless telephones of Polycom became the first solution which allowed to implement wireless communication in buildings on the Microsoft® Lync™ platform for application in health care, retail trade, the hotel industry and on production and are an important factor of performance improvement and acceleration of workflows in any sphere — from departments of emergency aid to factory workshops.
• The standard desktop Polycom phones and the Polycom phones for conference communication. Some desktop Polycom® SoundPoint® IP phones, phones for the Polycom® SoundStation® IP conferences and multimedia Polycom® VVX® business phones provide high-quality voice transmission and full compatibility now with Microsoft® Lync™ therefore customers of devices of a voice communication of Polycom can upgrade them for increase in return from already made capital investments.
• Polycom RealPresence Immersive. Polycom tests the first platform of video conference with effect of presence for direct connection to the Microsoft® Lync™ server allowing to use functions of dialing taking into account information on availability of subscribers and video of high definition at accomplishment of calls of Microsoft® Lync™ now. Support of rules of management of bandwidth of Microsoft® Lync™ in all range of video systems of Polycom will allow network administrators to project and unroll surely Microsoft® Lync™ video networks and video systems of Polycom thanks to an ability to manage these systems using a uniform rule set.
