In Rosa Khutor ski resort in Sochi creation of telecommunication reference network is complete

Creation of reference telecommunication network in Rosa Khutor ski resort is complete. As a technology basis the equipment Cisco was used, the INFROMSVYAZ company was engaged in its implementation. Telecommunication infrastructure of a complex will provide all resort with the high-speed and failsafe communication which already proved the working capacity when carrying out stages of the Russian Cup and the European cup on mountain skiing which took place last winter on the built tracks "Rosa Khutor".

Environment of Krasnodar Krai was allowed Interros company to create the unique complex combining opportunities for occupations mountain skiing and seaside rest. Construction of GLK "Rosa Khutor" is conducted according to the most strict international standards and requirements. By the beginning of 2014 in the resort 18 elevators will be installed, the extent of ski slopes will be about 80 km, and the modern trails snowmaking system will increase duration of a ski season (will make from 140 to 180 days a year). The developed infrastructure of the resort will allow to accept and service up to 10.500 visitors daily.

To provide functioning of all services and to provide to guests of the resort reliable Internet access, it was decided to create reference network infrastructure. It will allow to supply the resort with modern services of communication (An IP telephony, IPTV, video surveillance) and will give the chance to transfer different types of traffic thanks to broadband Internet access.

Within project implementation the INFROMSVYAZ company made complete installation of optical lines of communication, having provided full redundancy of channels due to application of a ring topology of network. As a core of network and for traffic distribution the Cisco switches Catalyst 6509E and 6506E creating the speed of 40 Gbps on the trunk were used.

These switches provide safe data transmission on IP networks and firewall, the system of protection against invasions, the organization of the protected VPN connections, the analysis of network and also acceleration of the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connections create the platform for additional services, such as processing of content.

Thanks to in a core of VSS technology (Virtual Switching System) the increased fault tolerance of network infrastructure was reached and the continuity of providing services is provided.

Network management is implemented based on the product Cisco Lan Management Solution (LMS) which provides to administrators a graphic cover for control of all equipment, automatically determining connections of client PCs and IP phones. The Cisco ASA5580 system allowing to provide safe transfer of traffic with a speed up to 20 Gbps on each device is applied to ensuring adaptive information security, servicing up to 2 million independent communication sessions at the same time. For connection to trunk communication channels the Cisco ONS 15305 Multiservice Provisioning Platform (MSPP) platform which allows to aggregate all types of traffic for transfer through external fiber optic connections is used.
