The St. Petersburg company "IRISOFT" completes the project on upgrade of process of technology preparation of production in JSC Scientific Research Institute Morteplotekhniki, the leading Russian institute specializing in creation of modern sea underwater arms for the VTR of the Russian Federation. Now in JSC Scientific Research Institute Morteplotekhniki are implemented and the Creo Elements/Pro software packages (before Pro/ENGINEER) providing full-fledged equipment of design-technology jobs are actively used process of technology processing is configured, user training is provided.
JSC Scientific Research Institute Morteplotekhniki specializes in accomplishment of a complex of works from scientific research and design before full-scale ground and sea tests of torpedoes and the torpedo systems, creation of torpedo power power units, the specialized equipment for ground and sea tests of torpedoes, underwater ESU and their subsystems, the automated small-size boiler installations (ASSBI) for the production and technology and heating purposes.
Within upgrade of the park of the equipment by Institute it was purchased two 5-axial processing the Dekel Maho center: DMU-60 and DMU-80 and one "4+" axial horizontally boring WH 10 CNC machine. As the software CAD/CAM the solution of Creo Elements/Pro of RTS company (Parametric Technology Corporation) was selected.
Creo Elements/Pro is the recognized solution for problems of automated design, technology preparation of production, machining. Ample opportunities of parametrization, associative communication of a trajectory of processing with geometry of model allow to consider in Creo Elements/Pro any part representative of a wide number of products as basic for development of standard technology, providing significant saving of time.
Along with emergence of modern machines the new working technology group providing a full stroke of design-technology preparation for pilot production of scientific research institute was created. This cycle includes processing of the received design documentation and creation of technology model of future product, design of the equipment and development of documentation for its production, and in certain cases and its production.
During the project two main objectives - the organization of preparation of managing programs for the CNC equipment, and training of personnel of the scientific research institute capable to independently carry out tasks of design-technology preparation of pilot production were set for IRISOFT company. Taking into account the equipment, new to scientific research institute, it was required not only personnel trainings, but ensuring steady fixing of the skills received during training. For this reason it was offered to carry out the stage connected with training of specialists within accomplishment of real projects of scientific research institute that allowed to set as much as possible skills of use of all range of functionality of a system. Specially developed "floating" diagram of training, allowed to solve an assigned task most flexibly. Thus, in the course of work had training on different disciplines of 7 specialists of scientific research institute.
"It was initially going to carry out works as the single unit, but in process the decision to separate all tasks into stages and to execute them taking into account the working schedule and successful fixing with the staff of scientific research institute of knowledge and skills received within the previous works was made", - the Potter Pavel, the Head of Department on work with clients of IRISOFT LLC commented.
The project is fully completed, the Creo Elements/Pro software packages are implemented and are actively used for problems of pilot production of Scientific Research Institute Morteplotekhniki, and significant economic effect is already gained. Further at expansion of production the number of jobs will be increased. It is in the long term going to resolve an issue on formation of the single system providing storage and transfer of design and technology documentation and management of joint work, both designers, and technologists.
