Tomskpromstroybank selects backup of SEP

The largest independent commercial bank of the Tomsk region Tomskpromstroybank upgraded a backup system using the solution SEP sesam. The supplier selected OSSystems company.

The problem of creation of a modern backup system is critical for financial institution. To exclude any possibility of loss of important information, the management of JSC Tomskpromstroybank made the decision on upgrade of the current backup system and data recovery on the basis of the solution SEP sesam.

The partner in the project after in-depth examination of the market selected OSSystems company ("Open Operating Systems"), the Russian supplier of information systems with the open code. The fastest delivery of licenses on the product SEP sesam and a possibility of a first line support of users was required.

The choice for benefit of SEP sesam was dictated by such factors as support of the Linux servers, high-speed performance (daily creation of backup copies), stable work with tape drives and hard drives, lack of need for the additional server, a possibility of week storage of backup copies.

According to Anatoly Busoyedov, the head of the technical department of management of automation of Tomskpromstroybank, "if earlier backup in Tomskpromstroybank was performed only using tape library, then now it was succeeded to expand considerably systems capabilities due to intermediate data storage on disk carriers".

SEP sesam ― the flexible and universal solution intended for backup and data recovery. The solution provides support of all basic operation systems and applications, backup "on the fly" of the most critical data, creation of backup copies of the operating system, a configuration of hard drives of primary servers, virtual machines, recovery after damages and failures, support of tape and virtual tape libraries.
