The I-Teco company completed the project in the field of management of network infrastructure in the East Siberian bank of Sberbank of Russia.
Background
The necessity in project implementation was caused by rapid growth of volume and complexity of storage area networks and also telecommunication infrastructure of bank.
Addition
"Being the largest player of the banking sector in the region, we pay much attention to questions of high-quality providing services and ensuring safety of data. Without implementation of modern management tools it cannot be made. Therefore we made the decision on start at once of two independent projects which were integrated by a common goal: increase in level of availability and quality of information services at simultaneous cutting of costs for the maintenance of difficult network infrastructure of bank", – Igor Surgutanov, the director of management of technical means and telecommunications of the East Siberian bank of Sberbank of Russia notes.
Solution
The project consisted in creation of the monitoring system providing representation of a complex picture of functioning of telecommunication infrastructure of the customer, control of availability and quality of information services. "When the network contains thousands of devices and objects, failures are anyway inevitable therefore the tool which would allow to trace and solve incidents still is necessary before they lead to a problem and will affect work of users", – Ilya Kiselyov, the project manager from I-Teco company explains.
As such tool it was offered to use the software for monitoring of telecommunication infrastructure – HP Network Node Manager. Examination of specialists of I-Teco, the accumulated project experience on implementation of monitoring systems of infrastructure and own unique developments based on this product allowed to perform thin tuning of the solution, to successfully integrate it with the Service Desk system and with the general IT landscape of bank.
Result
The monitoring system created by I-Teco covered devices and communication channels in more than 400 branches of the East Siberian bank of Sberbank of Russia. "Growth of quality of the provided IT services and the professional grade of specialists of bank in general became the general and, perhaps, the most important result of both projects executed by I-Teco company", – Igor Surgutanov adds.
