In White Giving Trading company the system of a business intelligence (Business Intelligence, BI) created based on IBM Cognos 8 Planning and IBM Cognos BI using specialists of NaviCon Group is unrolled. The management of the enterprise considers it and as the instrument of budget planning, and as a management tool cost value and as information basis for building of the profitable relations with partners. Besides, a BI system is applied to inventory management, investments, administrative activity. In the future a system should become the main instrument of monitoring and the analysis of key indicators of activity of the company.

According to Anton Semyonov, the CEO of White Giving Trading company, the enterprise always aimed at the innovative solutions. At the same time the company approaches IT projects quite pragmatically, adopting those technologies which are capable to bring notable benefit to business. Earlier the company by own efforts implemented the Microsoft Dynamics AX and "1C: Enterprise" systems. Besides, it actively uses own developments for logistics management.
"What effect was brought to business by system implementation? Transparency, controllability of business, timeliness of obtaining information necessary for adoption of upravlenichesky solutions — Semyonov noted. — Implementation of an analytical system — very expensive project. I think, it will pay off years for two-three or maybe in a year thanks to the fact that we will be able to see and save more".
Irina Shatskaya, the chief financial officer of the company became the initiator of the project. As Andrey Gvoskov, the manager of projects of NaviCon Group told, it was performed in two stages. During the first, the staff of White Giving Trading company executed by forces, detailed descriptions of technology processes were prepared, the system of accounting of energy resources and water processing information from counters which are integrated with Dynamics AX is implemented standards of consumption of energy and labor resources are developed, the system of their control is implemented, new requirements to planning processes, control and the analysis are created, ERP system completions which allowed to reflect changes in technical processes and internal regulations of the company are made.
The second stage of the project was implemented by joint efforts of specialists of White Giving Trading and NaviCon Group companies. Its considerable part was aimed at improvement of corporate methodology of management. In particular, the budget model, budget regulations were developed, the corporate system of the management reporting is designed, mechanisms of interaction of budget model and feature set of treasury are defined, the system of the normative reference information is improved. Besides, the cost value model reflecting planned and actual targets by types of products and on partners (in the company monthly and year planning is used) is developed.
According to Shatskaya, now means of an analytical system generate four main types of reports: about sales, profits and losses, cash flow and cost value. As Shatskaya was recognized, the last from reports was the most difficult, its implementation demanded time maximum. Data of this report are used for pricing (prices for products are adjusted monthly). The implemented analytical tools allow not only to detail data, but also to study them in different cuts: under the articles, on the centers of financial statements, on regions and so forth to investigate dynamics, to compare the indicators relating to the different periods and so forth.
It is in the short term going to complete the work on the block purchasing analysts, then to implement the analysis of KPI. Deployment of a BI system in regions will become the next step, transition to IBM Cognos 10 — the new version of the analytical platform which the White Dacha uses "Trading" is also planned.
