Vehicle fleet of the unique reserve "Call of the Tiger" located in Primorsky Krai in 2009 was equipped with the System of satellite monitoring SCOUT. The equipment which was installed on the cars used for patrol of the territory daily proves reliability of the work.
System implementation SCOUT allowed to optimize work of drivers: in addition to reduction of fuel consumption cases of inappropriate use of cars were reduced. For the period two years' operation was not revealed uniform failure in system operation.
The circle of paramount tasks of specialists of the reserve also includes permanent patrol of the territory for the purpose of a possibility of fast transportation of animals and the subsequent rendering the veterinary help to them. Thereby, employees of the reserve help to save unique fauna which representatives are such rare animals as the Amur tiger, izyubr, gorat, the Far East forest cat, a lynx and the Himalaya bear.
Arefyev Alexander Aleksandrovich, the deputy director for general issues of federal state institution of national park Call of Tiger, notes: "Installation of a system gave the chance to control use of fuel by cars. Permanent monitoring of location of cars considerably reduced arrival time to the scene of a dress of protection: it plays a huge role in such emergencies as the fire, a flood, and sometimes – attempts of illegal invasion on the territory of the park".
Existence of a System SCOUT helped specialists of the reserve with settlement of criminal case about illegal attempt of penetration on the territory of the park.
This case happened in September, 2009 when on the northern outskirts of the reserve the foreign man suspected of poaching was delayed. The high-ranking employee of local militia who during judicial proceedings denied and confused the facts, including concerning time of the stay and detention in the territory of the reserve was this man.
Specialists of the park brought evidence including the data got from the report a job of the software SCOUT Explorer based on which arrival time of protection of the reserve to section on which there was an illegal penetration was precisely determined. These data were accepted by court which made the decision on violation of an order.
As Kiyanitsa Vyacheslav Vladimirovich, the commercial director of Technoritm company which made installation of equipment SCOUT notes: "Our company has a wide experience of system implementation at a number of the enterprises of various sectors of the economy. The decision on participation in equipment of this project was made, first of all, based on its uniqueness and the social importance".
