The Abakus Layting company and 1C-Vectro company announced project completion of automation based on "1C: Accounting 8" and "1C: Trade Management 8". The new information system allowed to solve problems of automation of accounting, management accounting and trade business processes of the company in a complex. As a result it was succeeded to increase efficiency of formation of the management reporting, to reduce time from the order of goods to its shipment to the client.

Today the St. Petersburg representative office of "Abacus Lighting" monthly performs delivery and installation of several tens lighting systems. The normal mast of "Abacus Lighting" consists of several modules. Each module, in turn, includes tens of components which can change depending on the tasks shown by the customer to illumination of an object. Managers took orders from clients and created commercial offers in spreadsheets. These offers comprised text characteristics of components and modules. Prepare and to enter quickly amendments by such orders to spreadsheets was difficult and long.

It was extremely difficult to estimate profitability of this or that project to company management as there was no uniform information on income and expenses on each project.

For increase in efficiency of managers and simplification of calculation of profitability of projects by the management of "Abacus Lighting" the decision to create the unified information system was made. For this purpose addressed to 1C-Vectro company having successful experience of business process automation. As a basis for such system specialists of 1C-Vectro proposed the solutions "1C: Trade Management 8" and "1C: Accounting 8".

Within cooperation the following results were achieved:

  • Opportunities "1C: Trade Management" allowed to optimize work of sales managers and to reduce order processing time. All sales cycle - from obtaining the order before shipment of goods to the client — including registration of contacts with clients, creation of commercial offers and execution of transactions, search and information storage about component parts of difficult technical equipment, the order of products at suppliers, control of delivery to clients is automated.

Optimization of work of sales department and purchases allowed to reduce time from the first address of the client to shipment of goods for 30%.

  • Based on "1C: Accounting 8" the job order accounting method was implemented that allowed to control profitability of all projects of the company. Specialists of 1C-Vectro expanded possibilities of the accounting system, having implemented functionality for maintaining the plan-fact analysis, costs planning and resources, formation of the management reporting according to the IFRS standards. Use of these tools allowed to reveal costs and excess cost items.

The chief accountant of "Abacus Lighting" in St. Petersburg Inna Shavyrina commented on work results: "Having decided on automation, we received the being expected growth of efficiency of managers. Implementation of software products of 1C Company, certainly, was repaid. The received information system allowed to intensify activity of sales department and to quickly estimate profitability of both the separate project, and the company in general".
