SO UES - System operator Edinoy power systems (EToken PRO)

The Aladdin R.D. company, the Russian developer of solutions on information security, and Elvis-Plus system integrator announced project completion on system implementation of personal data protection as parts of an end-to-end system of confidential information protection of "System Operator of the Unified Energy System" (SO UES).

According to the technical policy admitted to SO UES in the field of information security support, for solving of tasks of confidential information protection in the company for 2005 — 2010 software and hardware-software solutions of Aladdin R.D. company — Secret Disk NG/PE and eToken PRO 32K were used. In process of improvement of the Russian legislation and development of information infrastructure of SO UES raises requirements to the system of confidential information protection. With respect thereto for the purpose of development of a system of personal data protection in SO UES in October, 2010 the decision on migration from the third version of Secret Disk NG/PE on more modern solution for confidential information protection — Secret Disk 4 was made.

Besides, in connection with implementation in SO UES of the automated system of documentary providing with management (ASDPM) in the company the decision on acquisition of the new electronic keys of eToken PRO (Java) developed on a highly protected hardware platform of JavaCard was made.

Existence of the FSTEC certificate of Russia on compliance of Secret Disk to 4 requirements for security with OUD1+ trust level (strengthened) on general criterions and also the FSTEC certificate of Russia on eToken PRO (Java) certifying that this solution can be used during creation of automated systems to a class of security 1G inclusive and ISPDN up to 1 class inclusive, says Aladdin R.D. became one of key factors for benefit of the choice of solutions of Aladdin R.D.

Within the complex project the solution Secret Disk 4 was deployed on more than 5 thousand jobs of staff of SO UES. The total amount of purchases of electronic keys of eToken PRO (Java) also exceeded 5 thousand pieces.

As noted, as a result of implementing solutions of Aladdin R.D. the system operator increased security of confidential information in workplaces of employees. Besides, it is simpler to work with new solutions of Secret Disk 4, than with Secret Disk NG/PE, claim in Aladdin R.D.

On a response of the customer, implementation of eToken PRO (Java) allowed to use certificates of users and private keys of the electronic signature in the existing electronic document management system. Thanks to eToken PRO in SO UES protection of remote access to information resources of the company and the protected data exchange by corporate e-mail were implemented. Also eToken PRO (Java) uses in SO UES by the specialists who are engaged in the electricity market (power) for authentication on the specialized websites, confirmations of authenticity of documents the electronic digital signature and enciphering of confidential information.

Though products of Aladdin R.D. company are not the only measure for personal data protection and ensuring confidentiality of information in the company, however it is that set of hardware and software systems which allows not to worry for stability of the implemented solutions. Says the fact that the linking of Secret Disk 4 and eToken PRO (Java) is used in an electronic document management system (ASDOU) about it. In the near future for expansion of functionality Secret Disk deployment of the corporate version of Secret Disk, so-called Secret Disk Enterprise is planned".
