The Ministry of Education and Science of Dagestan implements EDMS "Euphrates"

In the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Dagestan system implementation of electronic document management (EDMS) Euphrates started. For implementation of the first stage of the project at Cognitive Technologies company — the system developer — the license for simultaneous operation of 15 users and the "Fast Start for Administrations" configuration were purchased. Installation and tuning of a system are performed by IT specialists of the ministry.

At execution of the duties the staff of the ministry processes a large number of paper documents that requires accomplishment of the repeating and uniform transactions which are taking away a considerable part of working time (registration, search and movement of documents, drawing up reports, etc.). For this reason for performance improvement of work of employees and simplification of their work the management of the ministry made the decision to automate document flow using EDMS. After assessment of several systems presented at the Russian market for this purpose the Euphrates software product was selected.

Now using EDMS "Euphrates" activity of staff of office of the ministry is automated. In turn, it allowed to create uniform archive of the entering and outgoing correspondence and also to automate its accounting and search. As a result cases of loss of documents stopped, the speed of consideration of incoming correspondence increased by 3 — 4 times, and search of the necessary document instead of 2 — 5 minutes began to borrow several seconds, says Cognitive Technologies.

Thanks to the built-in tools and the "Fast Start for Administrations" configuration containing a set of standard elements which are involved in document flow of executive authorities implementation of EDMS "Euphrates" it is performed without involvement of specialists of developer company. It is expected that after end of all stages of system implementation Euphrates the number of users will be brought to 60 people that will allow to automate all document flow of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Dagestan.
