Satellite technologies came to the rescue during emergency in Udmurtia

On the night of June 3, 2011 in the settlement of Pugachevo of the Republic of Udmurtia there was a fire which effects were numerous explosions of shells in a military warehouse then in the republic emergency mode was declared. According to the results of the held operational events it is established that the first in disturbing signal to the place of the emergency (E) there arrived the cars equipped with the GLONASS/GPS system of monitoring of transport SCOUT.

The machines which quickly arrived to the scene are the slide assemblies of communication (SAC) of JSC Rostelecom, mounted based on cross-country vehicles. At the time of receipt of alarm the managers managing Rostelecom vehicle fleet using a hardware and software system SCOUT could coordinate quickly placement of PUS on location. These actions helped specialists to locate afterwards optimum vehicles with the radio coherent equipment for ensuring uninterrupted communication of the Ministry of Defence and the headquarters for emergency liquidation.

It not only all the known method of control of movement of vehicles and the instrument of cutting of costs for fuels and lubricants at the enterprises, but also really this assistant in the conditions of emergencies when the account goes for minutes, and depends on efficiency of reaction of machines of emergency services quantity of the saved lives" — the commercial director of SCOUT group Visnevsky Yury Alekseyevich comments.

After removal of the emergency mode slide assemblies of communication continued work for operational staff of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

Equipment of cars - PUS the monitoring GLONASS/GPS System the SCOUT made Vector-Auto company - the representative of SCOUT group in Izhevsk. After the end of recovery work in Pugachevo further equipment of vehicle fleet of the Udmurt branch of JSC "Rostelecom" by the System of satellite control of transport SCOUT will be continued.
