EEye Retina

The eEye Digital Security company integrated the solution Retina Unified Vulnerability Management Solution with the Metasploit project to give to the clients an opportunity of carrying out penetration tests.

Now users of the solution eEye Retina can test the network on existence of vulnerabilities, and then automatically import results to Metasploit that allows to check in the controlled environment, these vulnerabilities are how dangerous. Penetration tests are used for replication of the potential attacks and pro-active identification of weak points in the IT environment.

The solution eEye Retina is one of international industry and state standards for multiplatform assessment of vulnerabilities, mitigation of their effects and protection. Retina reveals both the known vulnerabilities, and vulnerabilities of zero day. The solution allows to estimate risks of cybersecurity, thereby simplifying successful implementation of security policies and observance of regulatory requirements. The product Retina is available as the complete solution to management of vulnerabilities or as the separate scanner or the device.

In December, 2011 eEye Digital Security announced release of the industry-first solution for the security of virtual applications available as a part of a packet of eEye Retina. eEye Retina in new release provides the additional security level for the virtualized applications unrolled using VMware ThinApp technology.

Liquidation of vulnerabilities in virtual applications is a serious problem both for the private sector, and for the state organizations which usually do not even know that similar vulnerabilities exist. Retina in the new version easily solves similar problems.

The Retina software product identifies vulnerabilities and defines risks in a configuration for the physical and virtualized applications and systems and also offers recommendations about fast and effective elimination of security risks.
