"TKB BNP Paribas Investment Partners" upgrades DPC and creates reserve

The Nvision Group company constructed the reserve data processing center (RDPC) and infrastructure of interaction with the main DPC for the international management company "TKB BNP Paribas Investment Partners".

Goal

The decision on construction of reserve DPC was caused by problems of business development of the company and need of increase in fault tolerance of IT infrastructure, ensuring complex security and safety of data.

Therefore, we pay huge attention to formation of reliable IT infrastructure, and start of reserve DPC became a natural stage of its development. The solution implemented jointly with specialists of NVision Group, will allow us to receive an additional security margin, functionality and scalability of IT resources of the company for maintenance of the high level of management of investment processes and customer service quality".

Solution

The project was implemented by specialists of Nvision Group branch in St. Petersburg who considered all requirements of Paribas Investment Partners, including need to provide fault tolerance of key information systems. As a result together with Department of information technologies of "TKB BNP Paribas Investment Partners" the individual complete cost-efficient solution meeting modern security requirements was developed. Work of all information services is configured taking into account the permanent growing information volume and has the necessary level of disaster tolerance.

The linking of the main and reserve DPCs became a core of IT infrastructure of the customer and a basis of further expansion of information systems and implementations of new services. Project development of fault tolerance, consulting and balancing and commissioning was carried out by specialists of Nvision Group branch in St. Petersburg.

Technical features of the project

The complete solution of DPC-RDPC includes all mechanisms on movement of applications from DPC in RDPC in case of an emergency situation and also a server complex, storage systems, network infrastructure and the hardware-software solution for fault tolerance of services allowing to reduce dependence on provider of communication services and in the long term to move RDPC to any geographical point. The server complex is constructed based on the equipment of HP, and the multi-layer system of data storage includes EVA HP disk arrays 6х00. Ensuring fault tolerance it was performed by regular means of systems and applications and also the software of Veritas storage foundation HA.
