Transport of the Regional coordination center of search and rescue equipped GLONASS

Operational transport of the increased passability of Regional search and rescue bases of "Central Aviation Search and Rescue Center" Federal state institution was equipped with GLONASS equipment. The M2M Telematics Group which became the winner of an open tender on the right of the conclusion of the public contract on equipment of operational vehicles the navigation and coherent equipment acted as the technical partner of the project.

Rescuers of the Central APSTs are involved to accomplishment of tasks of search and rescue of crews in distress and passengers of aircrafts. It is expected that implementation of GLONASS technologies will allow specialists of the Regional coordination center of search and rescue of the Central APSTs most precisely and to quickly define location of the land search and rescue commands involved in carrying out search and a wrecking, to perform their coordination, thereby increasing chances of rescue of survivors, and to land search and rescue commands using navigation equipment to be guided on location.

During the implemented project the equipment of GLONASS was installed on operational transport of the increased passability, and in the Regional coordination center of search and rescue based on a hardware-software complex the software allowing to improve coordination of actions of land search and rescue commands and to increase effective management of search and rescue forces and means is set. When receiving a signal "alarm" rescue paraborne groups take off for the area of expected aviation incident on the aircraft on duty, and on operational transport of the increased passability land search and rescue commands move forward. A task of rescuers to perform search of the place of aviation incident, to render the first and medical care by the victim, to deliver crash equipment and medicines, to perform evacuation of victims by land or air transport in the nearest medical institutions, says M2M Telematics company.

Knowing coordinates of the expected place of plane crash, the duty shift of the Regional coordination center of search and rescue of the Central APSTs in real time observes initial location of all operational rescue transport equipped with GLONASS equipment and, coordinating their movement, has an opportunity to display land search and rescue commands to the place of aviation incident, having prompted if necessary the shortest route. On arrival to the place of aviation incident rescuers help victims, perform transfer of exact location coordinates of aviation incident and necessary information to the Regional coordination center of the Central APSTs for the subsequent transfer to services of rapid response, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, medicine of accidents and so forth.
