The system administrator received 10 years of prison for revenge to the employer

In the USA it is delayed and the dismissed employee of IT department who deleted group of virtual servers in network of the ex-employer will be condemned. The administrator is threatened up to 10 years of prison also by a fine of $250 thousand.

The IT administrator in the State of Georgia (USA) pled guilty of harming a computer system of the American branch of the Japanese pharmaceutical company in several months after its work in this firm was completed.

According to data of federal prosecutor's office of the State of New Jersey (USA), Jason Cornish confessed to use of public connection to the Internet at McDonald's restaurant in Smyrna (State of Georgia) to get access to network of branch of Shionogi company, having applied for this purpose an old account. Then it deleted data of 15 hosts of VMware, to the equivalent 88 servers supporting e-mail, BlackBerry devices, control of orders and other necessary services of the company.

In a plot of the criminal case brought in June, 2011 it is noted: "As a result of the attack on February 3 transactions of Shionogi company were actually stopped for several days therefore the staff of the company could not deliver products, stop payment by checks and even to communicate by e-mail". In general, attack on the company cost it $800 thousand.

FBI agents connected an event with McDonald's restaurant in an analysis result of the IP addresses used in attack time. Later they found out that in several minutes before Cornysh paid off with the credit card.

Now threatens it up to 10 years of imprisonment and a fine of $250 thousand Cornysh filled up the list of the accused and condemned IT administrators dissatisfied and the sabotaging former employers.

Revenge of employees of IT departments, and not only them, concerning the former employers not a rarity.

In March of this year for similar crime in Texas Ismael Alvarez who after dismissal deleted about 70 files containing the reporting from the server of the employer was sentenced to year of house arrest and five years of imprisonment conditionally.

And in January to two years of prison sentenced the information analyst of management of safety of transportations Douglas James Duchak for entering into the database of anti-terrorist screening of a malicious code which since November 3 of this year would disconnect the system of check of the personality, having given access to confidential information and the protected zones of the airports. He made it when he learned that his position in management will be abolished.
