The Acronis company announces successful implementation of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 of Virtual Edition in SMS-Avtomatization group, one of the enterprises of automation of the industry, largest in Russia.

New versions of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 of Virtual Edition were purchased for providing the virtual servers working in the Microsoft Hyper-V system.

Two years ago SMS-Avtomatization Group began to implement actively technologies of virtualization, and already by the beginning of 2011 the level of virtualization IT infrastructure of group reached 75%. Such high rate of transition to new technologies to the companies is explained with noticeable economic and technology advantages which virtualization gives.

"Huge advantage of virtualization to developers consists that we can quickly provide them test platforms for check of products in different configurations of systems, simulate certain scenarios of use of our software on different configurations — the chief of the data-processing center "SMS-Avtomatizatsii" Ponomarev Dmitry tells. — However it not everyone. Virtualization gives the chance to update the equipment without influence on operation of virtual machines and also to considerably optimize internal IT infrastructure and due to effective load distribution on physical servers to achieve high economy".

Tried to implement Symantec Ghost, however with it it turned out unsuccessfully: old versions of this program did not support new operating systems, and new versions of the program often failed. As a result paid attention to Acronis which then showed the best ratio of quality and performance. Worked quicker and problems with it was less, than with other products which we tried several pieces".
