RNT implemented a monitoring system of passenger transport in the capital of the Republic of Buryatia

To JSC "Russian Navigation Technologies" (RNT) – one of leaders of the Russian market of monitoring systems and control of motor transport – submitted the large project on system implementation of a GLONASS/GPS of monitoring of Avtotreker transport on passenger transport of Ulan-Ude (Republic of Buryatia). The City administration acted as the customer of a monitoring system, and as the collaborator in the project the dealer of RNT participates in Buryatia – Navigation Technologies of Buryatia company.

Now the Avtotreker system is installed by more than 200 city passenger buses, there are works on the organization of the central city dispatching service based on the dispatching center of a monitoring system. Connection to the Avtotreker system about two thousand more vehicles (V) is planned for the near future, and further it will take all passenger transport of the Republic of Buryatia, one of the largest regions of Eastern Siberia under control.

Already today the implemented solution allowed to optimize traffic, to sharply increase discipline of drivers and to considerably reduce work to linear managers, and in the long term – in general to move away them from routes. Besides, the Avtotreker system controls transport to which grants from the city budget are paid. In particular, it is possible to check whether there are these the CU on the line, how precisely they observe the schedule of the movement and whether leave border of the selected areas of service.

Let's note that the customer, selecting a monitoring system, put on the first place ample opportunities on scheduling and drawing up schedules and also reliability and a vandaloustoychivost of the equipment. Besides, a system had to provide the high accuracy of calculation of car mileage and the minimum error of accounting of fuel. Not less strict requirements were imposed to functionality server and the client software and also to simplicity and ergonomics of the user interface automated workplace of the manager.

Relying on own experience, we are sure that today satellite monitoring of transport should become standard control passenger flows in the cities. I do not know whether there will be so convincing confirmations of efficiency of application of GLONASS in urban governance much".
