The second queue of implementation of industry solution of LanCashManagement in St. Petersburg bank

LANIT company announced at the end of 2011 successful implementation of industry solution of LanCashManagement in JSC St. Petersburg Bank. The solution is developed by specialists of LANIT based on the Microsoft Dynamics AX system and intended for control automation by collection of ATMs.

The St. Petersburg bank is one of the largest universal financial institutions of North-West Region. Successful functioning of such bank means existence and stable work of large ATM network. For process optimization of management of ATM network, reduction of operating costs and also increase in effective management of collection the management of St. Petersburg Bank made the decision on implementation of a new information system. As the partner the LANIT company which specialists suggested to implement the solution LanCashManagement was selected. This product is developed in LANIT and intended for management of flows of a cash liquidity. A system is created based on the software of Microsoft Dynamics AX.

The project started in September, 2010. Until the end of the year consultants of LANIT performed a complex of works on setup and development of the basic software solution according to individual requirements of St. Petersburg Bank and also carried out integration with the processing system of bank and a management system for cash transactions and collection.

In January, 2011 works on system deployment and user training began, and in March and employees of the bank St. Petersburg the solution was brought by through joint efforts of specialists of LANIT into operation for more than 450 ATMs. From this point planning of their loading began to be executed by bank on a centralized basis.

According to the proposal of the customer in a system a number of the functions which allowed more full to consider specifics of business processes of bank was implemented. So, there was a specialized form giving an opportunity for work with a system in regime of the user expert ("supervisor"), applied to simultaneous planning of collections of a large number of ATMs and assessment of the forthcoming load of service of collection until 10 days.

According to the results of the St. Petersburg Bank project received the automated system allowing to organize effectively a cycle of works on collection of all ATM network: from status assessment before drawing up tasks for collection for each ATM. The implemented software solution gives the chance to construct a forecasting model of demand for money for each ATM, to define the optimal amount of loading and term of the following collection for each ATM, to daily plan carrying out necessary number of collections and to estimate the forthcoming load of service of collection of bank during the next period.

Pavel Filimonenok, vice chairman of the board, JSC St. Petersburg Bank: "Effective management of collection of the ATM network consisting of several hundred devices is extremely difficult task requiring permanent accounting of a set of different factors: from a current status of each ATM to limits of the collections appointed by the total allowable load of collection of bank. We well understand, it is how important to have the reliable software tool for automation of all aspects by managements of flows of a cash liquidity. It brings to Bank both economic effect, and social, due to decrease in probability of idle time of ATMs on a cash absence reason. Further we are going to develop the implemented solution and to implement the following project on creation of the centralized control system of a cash remaining balance in bank departments".

In the summer of 2012 specialists of LANIT completed the second queue of implementation of industry solution of LanCashManagement in St. Petersburg bank. The implemented system is intended for automation of process of management of collection of ATMs, operational planning and cash management in the cash center and in divisions of bank.

Specialists of LANIT performed a complex of works on development and setup of modules of the software solution LanCashManagement in divisions of bank. It considerably simplified cash management in cash. So, this solution developed based on the Microsoft Dynamics AX system gives the chance to construct forecast model of an arrival/expense of cash that, in turn, allows to maintain optimum level of balances in cash in divisions. Besides, a system calculates the amounts of reinforcement/collection of divisions and the optimal moment for this transaction, having estimated transportation costs and costs of inefficient use of cash.

Within the project specialists of LANIT also developed and configured the new functional unit intended for traffic control of money in the cash center. LanCashManagement allows to monitor the level of a remaining balance, expects a future period of need for cash by face values of notes and coins. The software solution automatically calculates in what types of packagings (cartridges of ATMs, packaging of the Central Bank and others) and in what volumes it is necessary to pack the cash liquidity coming to the cash center according to the calculated forecasts. Also a system determines amount of money (by each face value) which should be exported or delivered in the cash center in/from Payment processing center of the Central Bank in case the predicted arrivals do not cover anticipated demands.
