2016: 10-Strike LANState Pro 8.0

Company 10-Strike Software released in April, 2016 the eighth version of the program for monitoring and network management of the enterprise "10-Strike LANState Pro". Thanks to the new vector graphic engine and the editor of the map, system administrators will be able to model topology of the network with great comfort and the increased detailing. Visual monitoring of accidents also becomes simpler - all failed devices will be illuminated in red color on the card of network.

One of the most important tasks of the system administrator is the organization of monitoring of functioning of network devices and servers and also timely response to the arising accidents and breaks of communication. Program 10-Strike LANState Pro combines in itself possibilities of scanning of topology and visualization of a local network of the enterprise in the form of the graphic card and also an exhaustive set of checks of functioning of network protocols and services using which automatic background monitoring of the equipment with display of results of these checks on the graphic card is executed. The flexible warning system will bring to the administrator information on the occurred failure, including the messages sent by the SMS and e-mail in time. If the operator in the center of monitoring monitors a situation visually according to the card, faulty devices can be seen on the scheme at once and to understand in what place of network a problem. It is possible to configure also sound signaling.

Version 8.0 of the LANState Pro program received the new vector graphic engine and the editor of the map. Now opportunities for placement of devices and display of a situation significantly extended. There are no restrictions for the size of an icon of the separate device any more. It can be scaled somehow without loss of quality! Too most belongs and to the card of network - it is possible to select any scale for viewing the interesting scheme sections. If forty icons of devices put in the program are not enough, it is possible to import icons from Visio MS libraries. For this product enthusiasts and equipment manufacturers drew them great variety.

In a different way now work with files of cards is organized. This version of the program supports the multidocument interface and different maps it is possible to browse on the screen at the same time, selecting the window or full-screen mode, but not to switch between cards in turn as it was in the previous versions. Now diagrams of response time of devices can be fixed in the bottom of a program window, but not to open a chart window for each host separately.

In 10-Strike LANState Pro is available the built-in Web server allowing the administrator to browse network condition and devices far off. In version 8.0 the web interface of the program was also completely processed according to new graphic opportunities of the card for display of vector graphics, new types of lines, areas and fillings.

2013: 10-Strike LANState Pro 7.5

In this version the web interface of the program which allows remote users to be connected to LANState Pro from the outside (including from mobile devices) and to watch a status of hosts and important services in network is improved.

The flexible warning system will bring to the administrator information on the occurred failure by a sound, the message on the screen, by the SMS or e-mail, well and, of course, the faulty device will be marked on the card of network. In addition to the graphic card displayed actually in the program, LANState Pro contains the web interface for remote users. Such opportunity allows the administrator to observe the card of network and a status of hosts and services far off via the web browser or on the mobile device.

The version of LANState Pro 7.5 is accelerated its work, display of new information is added: lists of checks, statistics of monitoring, tooltip balloons at icons of hosts. The convenience of work is increased, for example, sorting is added to lists of checks. The functionality of a context menu of devices on the card is expanded: now possibilities of the web version of the card almost match like those in the program for Windows.

2012: 10-Strike LANState Pro 6.3

Thanks to new opportunities system administrators will be able quickly to react to messages from the devices of network transmitted using the Syslog mechanism, to control the place on disks of servers and loading of their processors and also to browse diagrams of change of these parameters.

On the basis of the saved-up statistics on runtime of checks of monitoring of devices 10-Strike LANState Pro allows to make decisions on replacement of network equipment or the reorganization of network, without bringing the matter to critical condition. Support by program 10-Strike LANState Pro of the SNMP protocol does possible monitoring of very wide range of network devices, since workstations running a set of operating systems and finishing with switches, routers, webcams, etc. It is possible to trace not only operability of devices, but also to control values of different parameters which can be read out from them under the SNMP protocol (the traffic volume, the place on disks).

In program 10-Strike LANState Pro there is a built-in Web server allowing the administrator to browse network condition and devices through a browser window far off.

In new version 6.3 of the program the feature for viewing diagrams of controlled parameters on network devices was added. In the previous versions on diagrams only response time of the device (runtime of check) was displayed. Now it is possible to browse diagrams of change in time, for example, of an available disk space of a remote server, loading of the processor, different parameters of the switches controlled on SNMP.

2011: 10-Strike LANState Pro 5.5

Company 10-Strike Software announced in September, 2011 a release of the sixth version of the program for monitoring and visualization of network 10-Strike of LANState Pro. Thanks to new opportunities system administrators will be able quickly to react to messages from devices of network which are transmitted through the SNMP Traps mechanism, to browse a status of devices of network in a schedule type via the web interface and to perform monitoring of the event log (Event Log) on remote computers.

The main change in comparison with the previous version 5.5 – new opportunities for acceptance of messages from different network devices, including switches, UPS, sensors of opening of the equipment under the SNMP protocol. As a rule, similar messages are sent by devices to notify the network administrator on approach of critical events. For example, some types of uninterruptible power supply units can send messages in case the equipment passes into a diet from batteries of UPS. Similar situations require immediate intervention of service staff and therefore the device itself initiates sending a signal under the SNMP protocol. It is also possible to give some models of sensors of opening of premises and racks of the equipment as an example. These sensors can be connected to a local network and support sending SNMP messages (traps) in critical situations, such as unauthorized opening of a door of a rack or room. Having accepted the similar message from the device, the LANState program without delay will execute sending the SMS for the set number, will send the e-mail, will include sound signaling and will record an event in the magazine.

One more essential innovation is a possibility of monitoring of event logs of remote Windows computers in the local area network. Event Log is the irreplaceable tool of the system administrator where the operating system writes information on work of utility and user programs, security audit events, program and machine failures. The program offers more advanced mechanism of work with the magazine – monitoring of the event log Windows and the notification about critical events. She through a certain interval reads out the last event log records, looks for among them the new events corresponding to the set rules and reports about it to the administrator. For example, it is possible to notify only on errors or to trace messages from the specific program or service. Besides, the program can analyze the text of the message and look for in it the preset key word testimonial of this or that situation.

In addition to the listed improvements in version 6.0 the feature for viewing diagrams and statistics of monitoring of hosts for different time frames via the web interface is added, adding on the map of text areas, visualization of results of trace of a route to a distant host is implemented, several new types of devices and many other things are added.
