Asteros completed the project on reconstruction of the State Theatre of the Nations

The Asteros group completed the unique project on reconstruction of the State Theatre of the Nations in Moscow. Today the historical building of theater is upgraded, equipped modern engineering and IT systems and meets the European standards. Now capital theater, successfully combining innovations and theatrical traditions, again opens doors for the audience.

The theater of the Nations is located in the historic center of Moscow, near Pushkin Square, and its main hall is expected 680 viewers. Constructed in 1885, the building of theater decayed and needed reconstruction. Together with restoration the management of theater decided to carry out expansion of total area and to inhale in it new life, using modern technologies.

Reconstruction of theater began in 2009. Management of construction works, development and deployment of the systems of engineering, security and IT were executed by the general contractor – the Asteros group. Project cost was 1.5 billion rubles.

At the first stage the theater base was strengthened, the building of the administrative block is attached. At the second stage specialists of Asteros implemented all necessary engineering, IT systems and security systems.

The structured cabling system which contains about 300 ports became a basis of the created infrastructure. The Local Computer Network (LCN) on Cisco switches corresponds to category 5E that guarantees high degree of protection against noises and external invasions. The telephone system services 112 subscribers of city and internal network and 60 – emergency communication. In addition to the basic engineering systems were created: power - heat and water supply. For comfort of theatrical company and the audience specialists of Asteros equipped the building with distributed system of control of climate.

In the territory of theater 9 outside and 30 internal video cameras among which the camera with the built-in infra-red searchlights for work in the conditions of weak lighting help to ensure safety.

In the new building of Theatre of the Nations performances will not be interrupted by phone calls – the intelligent system of blocking of cellular communication works there. The area of a covering of blocking of a signal and duration are automatically determined by a system therefore the audience will be able freely to speak by phone during an interval or in the theater foyer.
