The TNK-BP company completed the project of process automation of prequalification of suppliers of MTR, tenders and reverse auctions based on the SAP solution SRM 5.0. The implemented project is the first SAP implementation of SRM 5.0 in Russia.
The TNK-BP company is the third largest Russian oil company entering ten the largest private oil companies in the world on oil production volumes. The project is implemented for the purpose of creation of the integrated information system in which processes of qualification of suppliers, approvals and vising of purchase agreements MTR, the organizations of electronic marketplace for tendering process and reverse auctions on purchase of MTR and also providing them will be optimized by information support. Specialists of BearingPoint company were engaged in project implementation.
As told TAdviser in BearingPoint company, within the project the functionality based on the standard SAP solution SRM of version 5.0 is implemented. On each fukntsionalnost considerable completions according to requirements of the customer were made. 1) Self-registration and qualification of suppliers: the new form of self-registration meeting requirements of the customer for collecting of necessary information and appearance was developed. 2) Transfers of requirement from SAP R/3: management of transfer of requirement was added to the report of the purchaser in SAP R/3 system 3) Carrying out tenders and auctions: output forms on comparison of the offers provided by suppliers with analytics, necessary for the customer, are in addition developed. 4) Approval of agreements and their transfer to SAP R/3: approval of agreements is finished taking into account developed in the company of practice under approval of agreements, transfer of agreements is finished proceeding from settings of processing of agreements in SAP R/3. 30-40 jobs are automated.
The processes automated within the project were the only large non-automated link in the general business procurement process of MTR.
According to Alexey Kada, the director of procurement of MTR for production and processing of TNK-BP company, annual costs of the company on purchase of goods in Russia exceed 1.5 billion dollars, at the same time 90% of partners make the domestic companies, and the nomenclature of the purchased MTR exceeds 150 thousand positions. Implementation of SRM allowed to integrate external interaction with the market into the general business process of supply, having created thereby the closed automated transparent chain from introduction of requirement before payment of the arrived goods. As a result of automation producers and suppliers obtain more complete and transparent information about tenders, have an opportunity to react more quickly to requirements of the company, thanks to on-line to auctions.
The project is implemented on the basis of corporate methodology of Delivery Framework BearingPoint company which was approved with procedures of the corporate standard of process of initialization and implementation of projects ("CVP") of THK-BP company and with "Rules of management [1]of the THK-BP ERP projects", approved as an implementation methodology of the SAP projects.
The project started in April, 2008. Into productive operation a system was brought in December, 2008. For quality control of implementing solution consultants of SAP company [2] (file) were attracted.
As a result of automation procurement processes are integrated into the unified information system on the SAP platform. The solution allows to reduce labor input and cost of process of preparation and holding tenders. At the same time the transparency and controllability of procurement process of MTR is provided.
