Moscow Heat Distribution Company implemented corporate network of video conference from TrueConf

The Russian developer and producer of the systems of a video conferencing (VKS) TrueConf organized for JSC Moscow Heat Distribution Company (MHDC) – the largest company in the world market of transport of thermal energy – corporate network of video conference. It is intended for replacement in MTK of conference calls by more productive video meetings.

Fast deployment of network of video conference and also the solution of such technical tasks as creation of an opportunity to hold asymmetrical video conference calls, so became feature of the project on the organization of the corporate MTK video selector for 100 employees that on the screen there were at least two heads, and symmetric meetings when all see all, at least for 12 participants. Besides, existence of the server for video conferences in the company was provided.

The pilot option of a system of video conferences on 100 employees was unrolled in two weeks from which the main time was taken by equipment installation (cameras, columns) on the automated jobs of heads. After the two-month pilot project which is carried out in April-May, 2010 the decision on acquisition (annual lease) of licenses was made. Practically all works were performed by specialists of MTK. "Installation and setup of a visual communication system in MTK occupied time minimum. So, on installation of the server no more than half an hour, on creation of accounts of users – 5-10 min./people, on creation and editing groups – 3-5 min./people, and on installation and setup of a client part – was required 10-20 min.", - Leonid Golovin, the deputy chief engineer for IT of JSC Moscow Heat Distribution Company comments.

"Specialists of MTK developed regulations on planning and carrying out video conferences. It allows them to hold video meetings on 50 points to three weekly that is a high rate on use of VKS in Russia", – Soldatov Stanislav, the technical director of TrueConf says.

Among advantages of the created visual communication system in MTK note technical characteristics and possibilities of the program server of video conferences. Thanks to a clear control interface collecting and start of multipoint conferences from any video terminal become easily feasible for all users of VKS, without requiring the help of the operator or the administrator of VKS. As the screen of the video terminal it is possible to use the standard monitor which size depends on the user's wishes. Besides, in several minutes it is possible to turn any PC or the notebook into the video terminal.

Rather low cost level on its acquisition and service became an important factor when choosing this system. Among other things specialists of MTK call a possibility of operational upgrade of server and client parts of a system without attraction of additional material resources and also increase in number of participants without purchase of the additional server hardware.
