Customers: Sochi City Administration

Sochi; State and social structures

Product: Safe Sochi

Project date: 2011/04  - 2011/10

The KABEST company (part of the Asteros group) is introducing a video surveillance system and creating a situation center within the framework of the Safe Sochi project. This is only part of a large-scale program to build a comprehensive information and analytical system to ensure the security of the city. The created system will help emergency services to respond more quickly to emergencies and provide a new quality of life for citizens and guests of the resort.

The comprehensive program "Safe Sochi" was initiated by the city administration. Her goal is to strengthen the city's defense and prevent wrongdoing. In Sochi, this project is also being implemented in preparation for the 2014 Olympic Games with the support of the telecom operator MegaFon.

KABEST, part of the Asteros group, is responsible for the introduction of a video surveillance system and the creation of a monitoring center.

At the first stage, the company's specialists will install 1,400 video cameras on central streets and in popular places of recreation. High definition resolution and built-in video analytics of cameras allow you to recognize in detail the removed objects and faces of people. Images from video cameras in real time will be sent to the monitoring center.

In the center, the information will be displayed on a 7 * 2.5 m video wall consisting of high-resolution liquid crystal screens. Operators will be able to monitor and highlight abnormal and suspicious situations around the clock. If necessary, they will pass on the information to the city's first responders. The archive, created on the basis of video servers with a total volume of several petabytes, will store video materials for a long time, which can be used to intelligently search for the necessary data.

The
Safe Sochi project is unique. The introduction of a comprehensive information and analytical system will significantly reduce the number of offenses and ensure the safety of the main objects of the future Olympic capital. Already today, we can give an example of the effectiveness of such a program in Moscow, where, according to Rosstat, the number of crimes has decreased by about 20%, "emphasizes Konkin Nikolai, chairman of the board of directors of KABEST.
"In the creation of a unique video surveillance system built on the MegaFon network, our company invests about 1.2 billion rubles. The result of its implementation will be the high reactivity of law enforcement agencies, emergency services, the FSB, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as the new quality of life of citizens and recreation of resort guests, "said Tigran Poghosyan, Deputy General Director for Strategic Projects of MegaFon.
