Autodesk Cloud

The Autodesk company provided in a sentbyara of 2011 of Autodesk Cloud – a set of web services and products which increase mobility, provide new opportunities of viewing data and exchange with them and also open access to big computing powers. All this allows to increase quality of design, visualization, engineering calculations and the analysis. Besides, exclusive access to high-performance services on the basis of technology of "cloud" calculations, such as rendering, optimization of projects and enhanced capabilities of joint work is provided to participants of the Subscriptions of Autodesk program.

The Autodesk company became the pioneer in the development area of applications on the basis of "cloud" technologies, having released web service Buzzsaw more than ten years ago. Now under the general name Autodesk Cloud over ten similar applications, such as Autodesk Cloud documents, AutoCAD WS and Autodesk Design Review are available to users. They allow to store data in "cloud", to exchange them and to get access to them from every spot on the globe, even without having access to one CAD of Autodesk. Additional services on the basis of "cloud" calculations, available only on Subscription of Autodesk, provide to designers, engineers and specialists in computer graphics the advanced new opportunities, such as highly productive 3D - visualization, joint work with data, complex engineering calculations and the analysis. Need to address for it in specialized computer centers which services cost much too disappears. For each license with a subscription it is selected about 3 GB for data storage that allows to have reliable access to the project documentation at any moment regardless of where there is a user.

In cooperation with a number of partners, including Amazon and Citrix, Autodesk is engaged in creation of the infrastructure of "cloud" calculations meeting user requirements. Works on the organization of a safe hosting for popular scalable applications, such as Autodesk Homestyler and web service Autodesk Seek conduct more than three years of Autodesk and Amazon Web Services. Amazon Web Services gives to Autodesk flexible opportunities for global scaling of "cloud" calculations using Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), data storage in Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) and Elastic Block Store (EBS) and also more effective providing applications and services to clients. The increased efficiency of use of applications of Autodesk became result of cooperation of Autodesk and Citrix. Delivery of the software to end users by means of Citrix XenApp allows to reduce the cost of service of workstations when preserving required performance level.

In addition to new services of Autodesk Cloud, the latest software versions, technical support on the Internet and flexible licensing terms – everything that is necessary for clients for achievement of advantages over competitors are still provided to subscribers of Autodesk. Access to new services on the basis of "cloud" technologies is provided directly from applications of Autodesk or through the Center of the Subscription.
