Technology: | Data processing centers are technologies for DPC |
On September 27, 2011 the Raritan company provided Controller (EMX) for comprehensive monitoring of security of the environment, power and electronic control by assets of DPC.
The new Smart Raritan controller of the EMX series is rack-mounted 1U, and provides the main data on a status of DPC collected from many types of sensors - including temperatures, humidity, an air flow, air pressure, smoke, water, short circuit of contacts, - performing the smart, electronic solution of tracking of a status of assets of DPC.
With new Smart the controller of the EMX series of Raritan company operators will be able to see at once whether their DPC works at an optimal temperature, humidity and to control air flow in racks, to find exact location of the server in which problems are detected. They can define when the door of an office opens, to look who entered a data processing center, and will be warned if there are problems - such as smoke or violations of security.
New Smarts Raritan controllers in a rack 1U are the IP based devices which serve as the central point of connection for all ecological Raritan sensors and USB devices for data processing centers. Indications of sensors can be easily browsed on EMX the LCD display and also far off, via the web browser.
Information collected by EMX controllers from sensors and assets can be also transferred to Data Center Infrastructure Management Raritan - dcTrack® for Asset, - for software solutions and change of managerial potential, and to Power IQ® - for monitoring and energy management of DPC - or to the existing third-sided management tools of DPC.
"The solutions Raritan added intelligence to racks of data processing centers, beginning a few years ago with our intellectual PDUs for measurement of energy consumption at the level of separate IT devices, and including the released intelligent solution of Asset management quite recently - Intelligent Asset Management Tag and Sensor solution", - Herman Chan, the director of Management of energy business in Raritan told.
"We consider what smart racks - the best method to receive exact, in real time information on performance of infrastructure on the basis of which clients can develop more effective methods of management of the data processing centers and cut down expenses. With introduction of today's smart solution Smart of controllers to a rack of EMX, we obespechivayemt the center for collected using remote sensors for more exact and clear picture about what occurs in and around the IT equipment, racks. Working in cooperation with our dcTrack and Power IQ with the software, users can trace and analyze data of all sensors in all racks of DPCs around the world."
According to Bob Hancock, the president of Instor Solutions, Inc which worked with many of 500 companies in deployment of Intelligent solutions for Raritan infrastructure management - "Clients select Raritan solutions as they solve many of the main questions of modern DPCs, including problems of cost control of energy, increases in capacity are permanent, asset managements, increases in trouble-free operation, and provide simple smart tools in use to help employees of DPC better to understand that occurs in a rack and around a rack at any moment, and to take measures".
