Committee on improvement of Yekaterinburg the SCOUT during whom navigation equipment is installed on 140 units of the utility equipment completed monitoring GLONASS/GPS system implementation.

The decision on system implementation of a GLONASS/GPS of monitoring was made by Committee on improvement of Yekaterinburg with the purpose to increase efficiency of use of special equipment used to carrying out utility works. The system provider selected SCOUT Group - the Russian developer of solutions in the field of satellite monitoring and accounting of fuel on transport. During the first stage of the project which began in 2009, a system SCOUT was installed by 100 cars which are at the disposal of city administration. In 2011 during the second stage of the project the number of units of the utility equipment equipped with a system SCOUT increased to 140. Among them - the trotuarouborochny, vacuum and sweeping, snow-removing and also combined machines used for cleaning of sewer wells.

The Chairman of the Committee on improvement of the city of Yekaterinburg Tamara Saydaliyevna Blagodatkova notes: "Monitoring system implementation SCOUT allowed to manage quickly cleaning of streets of Yekaterinburg, including during the Summit of SCO, in 2009. In addition, during abundant snowfalls there was an opportunity to watch quality of cleaning of streets by means of control of exceeding of technology motion speed of special equipment and also thanks to the installed sensors to optimize fuel consumption by machines".

A system SCOUT allows to create an effective system of accounting of fuel and operation of any kinds of transport and to reduce vehicle fleet charges that is important for a housing and utilities sector in which different special automotive equipment is used. Monitoring operation of units and nodes of special equipment – for example, brushes or shovels of the harvest equipment - using the monitoring module SCOUT, it is possible to receive at any time an exact picture of accomplishment of the issued tasks, to consider fuel consumption, it is rational to distribute the equipment for work on different sections.
