In Volgograd monitor cleaning of streets using GLONASS

The regional partner of M2M Telematics group - Viscort company implements an implementation project of a monitoring system and control of transport at four road-building enterprises of Volgograd. Now control of the course of cleaning of streets and repair of roads is performed using GLONASS technologies – the navigation and coherent equipment is installed for 40% of special vehicles of the city.

The main advantage of implementation of solutions GLONASS on special transport – a possibility of control. Now municipal services quickly trace where there takes place cleaning of streets, and the road-building organizations – control the course and quality of repair work. "All benefited from system implementation based on GLONASS, - the chief executive of Viscort company Evgeny Samoylov considers. - Residents thanks to GLONASS technologies receive net streets and flat roads. And the companies which are engaged in this repair at the expense of a purposeful funds expenditure improve the economic indicators".

The monitoring system and controls of transport based on GLONASS is implemented at four enterprises of Volgograd: in Dormostroy trust, DSU-1, "the Southern DSU-2" and Soviet DSER. Most of all equipment, equipped with the navigation and coherent equipment, belongs to Dormostroy trust. This is the contractor, largest in the city, who for work on some objects signs agreements of subcontracting with other companies. For better control of accomplishment of logistic tasks based on trust the central dispatching service is created. Specialists of Viscort company give information technical support to all partner enterprises of Dormostroy. Besides, each road-building management has own executive logisticians monitoring movement of special equipment and controlling work of drivers.

"The monitoring system and managements creates a double control system. Managers of the enterprises subcontractors independently monitor accomplishment of amount of works, - Evgeny Samoylov explains. - And managers of trust, in turn, obtain operational information about the course of road-building works and workmanship".

A system already managed to prove. For several months it was succeeded to lower special equipment run by 15%, to increase efficiency by 30%, to save on telephone negotiations with drivers. After equipment of sweeper-collectors, asphalt pavers and bulldozers sensors of control of level of fuel expenses on fuels and lubricants were cut down for 30%. At all enterprises note that after monitoring system implementation drivers became more disciplined, and there are no cases of unauthorized use of the equipment any more.
