EMC Documentum works with an encryption system of data of Microsoft Crypto API now

The CORUS Consulting system integrator developed the solution for work with the electronic digital signature based on Microsoft Crypto API cryptoprovider in the environment of EMC Documentum. The SOGAZ insurance company became the first client. Universal library for work with the electronic digital signature based on Microsoft Crypto API for an electronic document management system of EMC Documentum and a set of operational documents are already delivered in JSC SOGAZ. Integration with EDMS will be carried out by specialists of the company.

Using library in the workflow system EMC Documentum it is possible to sign documents EDSs, to verify authenticity of the EDS, to import and administer certificates.

"This universal solution for support of the EDS of Microsoft Crypto API for the EMC Documentum platform of versions 5.3 and 6.5, - Alexander Axelrod, the head of electronic document management systems of CORUS Consulting group says. – Now we already conduct negotiations on delivery of library to other companies where document flow on this platform is implemented. We are sure that the solution will be demanded in the market as it allows to ensure comfortable functioning with the EDS in industrial EDMS which is implemented in the largest Russian companies. The signature of documents using the EDS – an opportunity to increase is even more efficiency of document flow as now it is possible to work directly with electronic versions of those documents which needed to be transferred to a paper type for obtaining necessary signatures and approvals earlier".

CryptoAPI is the application programming interface which provides developers of Windows applications with standard feature set for work with cryptoprovider. Is a part of operating systems of Microsoft. The majority of the CryptoAPI functions is maintained starting with Windows 2000.
