eToken provides personal data protection of Russian Association of Motor Insurers

The Aladdin R.D. company, the Russian developer of solutions on information security, and Elvis-Plus system integrator summed up the first results of the project on personal data protection in Russian Association of Motor Insurers (RAMI) and RSA-Kliring company. Within the project the solution eToken was implemented in the "Green Card of the AIS RSA" system and also in a hardware-software complex of the information calculating center of compulsory third party car insurance (IRTs OSAGO agrarian and industrial Complex), says Aladdin R.D.

"Green card" is a part of the automated information system (AIS) of RSA. This subsystem is used for control of the forms of the strict accounting and agreements signed at liability insurance within the international system of insurance Green card and also accounting and control of distribution to settlement of the insured events which happened on the territory of the Russian Federation and beyond its limits. In a subsystem Green card of the AIS RSA personal data about owners of the insured vehicles are stored and are processed. Safety of this information should be ensured according to federal law "About Personal Data" (152-FZ). For their protection the end-to-end system which included the solution eToken which is supporting at the hardware level work with digital certificates and the electronic signature was constructed. Half a year later for personal data protection of motorists of eToken it was implemented in the system of IRTs OSAGO agrarian and industrial Complex of RSA-Kliring company.

The choice by experts of the companies of the solution eToken was caused by a number of factors, including existence of the FSTEC certificate of the Russian Federation confirming a possibility of application of the eToken keys in personal data information systems to the 1st class inclusive, reliability and usability. The important role when choosing was also played by existence of certificates of compatibility with products of the Outpost family which is a fixed asset of a subsystem of firewalling and cryptographic protection of the Green card system. In general implementation of electronic keys of eToken allowed effectively and in a short time to ensure safety of access to the personal data processed in RSA and "RSA-Kliring" and also to bring all systems into accord with requirements of regulators.
