The project on logistics management and the movement of goods based on SAP SCM in M.Video is complete

The Russian retail network of electronics M.Video and consulting company CIBER Russia, one of the leading solution providers for business based on SAP, announce project completion on control automation by logistics based on an information system of SAP of Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM).

The project was begun in October, 2009. From October, 2009 to September, 2010 works on the SAP SCM setup according to features of business processes of retail network "M.Video" were carried out. In the second quarter 2011 the created solution was started in full.

Premises of implementation of a new information solution in the field of logistics and warehouse stocks for M.Video company was the considerable expansion of retail network which began in 2007 and caused the necessity of change of a technology platform and reorganization of business processes.

The partner in the implementing solution SAP SCM selected CIBER Russia company which has deep competence in SAP ERP system implementation of retail trade.

The volume of the implemented solution includes:

• management of merchandising and planning of transport (includes movements of goods between objects of the company, the goods delivery to clients of the company from retail stores and Online store);
• management of claim activity;
• management of intra warehouse transactions, including integration with information systems of all 3PL of operators;
• direct procurement of goods from suppliers on shops of network.

At the moment SAP SCM ensures smooth operation of 4 central warehouses working round the clock, and 47 regional distribution warehouses, with simultaneous operation of all users in a system. Also in a system merchandising in all 235 shops of network is reflected. The created reliable management system for movement of goods and a single information platform for warehouse stocks is a crucial element for the next stage of automation of the company connected with planning and inventory management in SAP.
