OpenTrust PKI now and in JSC KAMAZ

The Rainbow Security company announced in November, 2011 the successful implementing solution OpenTrust PKI in infrastructure of JSC KAMAZ company. On September 23 in Day of Mechanical engineering the works on implementation of a public key infrastructure of OpenTrust PKI in the IT system of JSC KAMAZ company - the largest in Russia and the CIS countries of a complex of the enterprises for automotive industry were completed.

JSC KAMAZ selected the solution of OpenTrust PKI for the solution of the following problems of information security:

• Protection of corporate electronic correspondence (e-mail) the electronic digital signature (EDS) guaranteeing authenticity of the sender and message integrity
• Safe authentication of users and devices for access to corporate servers via a secure channel,
• Reliable enciphering of the important data including sent by e-mail of messages for the purpose of ensuring exclusive access to them the corresponding persons.

The OpenTrust PKI system is the open, building and scalable software solution implementing a public key infrastructure (PKI). OpenTrust PKI exercises centralized operation of lifecycle of keys and certificates.

OpenTrust PKI differs in openness, ease of modulation and scaling. The solution is quickly integrated in already existing corporate IT of infrastructure, having at the same time low total cost of ownership.

Specialists of Rainbow Security and OpenTrust companies worked on an implementation project of OpenTrust PKI. They set and configured Root Certification Center, two the subordinated UTs for the signature of certificates of authentication, the EDS and enciphering.

Employees of IT and personnel of JSC KAMAZ were trained in system management of OpenTrust PKI according to the role principle of administration and also gained knowledge of use of functionality of the application software (Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer) for a request, import and application of digital certificates.
