The system of the business analysis in SANFRUT-Trade

The CORUS Consulting group completed the project on business analysis system implementation in SANFRUT-Trade - the largest producer of natural juice, nectars and cold tea in the territory of the Ural region and the Volga region. A BI system is implemented on the Oracle Business Intelligence 11 platform.

The main tasks which faced CORUS Consulting Group within the project – reduction of time which the staff of departments spends on a reporting preparation, increase in efficiency of the business analysis and accuracy of data, increase in level of information security at the expense of access isolation to data.

The Oracle BI system became uniform space for the analysis of planned and actual data of the enterprise which contains tools for operational data analysis for different time frames.

Technology the BI solution is based on the classical architecture including two subsystems: the uniform data warehouse based on Microsoft SQL DB and a business analysis subsystem based on Oracle BI. Data are imported from the accounting system "by 1C Enterprise 7.7" and the Lawson e-Sales systems which stores information on sales volumes, a remaining balance of goods and goods receipts collected from distributors on warehouses of distributors. Within the solution there is an analytical processing of business areas of SANFRUT-Trade: sales, purchases, marketing, production, logistics, finance.

"After implementation it became obvious that a BI system provided powerful benefits for the company, - the head of department of IT of SANFRUT-Trade company Serebrov Alexander comments. – First of all, uniform data source appeared: information from the different systems gathers in the uniform data warehouse now. We expect that the speed of creation of the reporting will grow and accuracy of the data will raise. For example, in the system of 1C the report on shipments in one month forms about an hour, and to receive the annual report there was no opportunity. In the Oracle BI system the annual report is generated in 1 minute. And at last, the most important for users of a system: they had an opportunity to independently build reports of varying complexity, operating with usual business terms – the system interface allows to design the reporting, selecting necessary parameters".
