"Rostelecom put the mobile data processing center (MDPC) into commercial operation. It consists of the separate modules created based on standard 40-foot sea containers and can be quickly unrolled and connected to communication channels of Rostelecom. At these World Data Centres allows to perform storage and data processing and also providing full range of services with high reliability, fault tolerance and performance.
World Data Centres are created using solutions of IBM according to international standard TIA/EIA-942 and meet the requirements of the 3rd level of reliability (Tier III). The Nvision Group company became the contractor on implementation of this project.
According to the Vice president - the director of macroregional branch "Rostelecom — the Far East" Andrey Balatsenko, "mobile execution of DPC allows to organize quickly and effectively in the right place and then if necessary to increase necessary computing powers for providing a full range of services to the most wide range of clients, beginning from a virtual hosting of services and finishing with services of "the electronic government".
CEO of NVision Group Tarasenko Alexey: "We are proud that the first project on construction and start MTSODA on network of Rostelecom was entrusted to be executed our company. For us it is the sign project which will become a basis for implementation of a series of similar projects. In our opinion, the future behind such option of creation of DPCs which are easy for recustomizing on the solution of a different range of tasks, and in case of need, to transport on the new place".
"Ensuring the growing needs for provision of services of communication for regions of Russia and for support of an output to the market of a new range of convergent services requires mobility, scalability and operational efficiency of infrastructure, - Poddubny Boris, the director of business development noted, IBM in Russia and the CIS, - that is a basis for formation of the main competitive advantages of the operator".
Creation of new DPC became one of the largest projects in IT infrastructure plot area in the Far East region. The total amount of investments of Rostelecom into the project was 110 million rubles. The Data Processing Center (DPC) – the specialized platform for placement of servers and a switching equipment conforming to specialized technical and climatic requirements.
Technical features of the project:
- Structurally World Data Centres contain 15 racks 42U for placement of the equipment and all necessary engineering systems: uninterrupted power supply, conditioning, fire safety, monitoring and control of parameters of infrastructure.
- The conditioning system consists of two independent hydraulic circuits (external - ethylene glycol, internal – water) with intermediate lamellar heat exchange devices. * System architecture provides the greatest possible degree of security and reservation.
- The integrated monitoring system of World Data Centres allows to carry out control of climatic parameters, statuses of technology equipment, video surveillance in real time. All essential parameters of a system are displayed on dashboards of operators. Are composition of monitoring: controllers of the top level (network), controllers of the bottom level (executive), primary sensors (temperatures, humidity, opening of doors, etc.) and also television cameras.
- The automatic fire-extinguishing system covers all technology containers of World Data Centres.
- The structured cabling system of World Data Centres provides the maximum scalability, flexibility, modern design and convenience of operation.
During implementation of World Data Centres power supply issues were resolved: the electric power supply system implemented according to scheme N+1 consists of 2 diesel-generator stations with a total power more than 1.2 MW, modules of uninterrupted power supply, a bypass and rechargeable batteries. All complex provides the guaranteed and regular power supply of World Data Centres with the maximum degree of reliability.
