AutoCAD PLM component

Product
The name of the base system (platform): AutoCAD
Developers: Appius
Date of the premiere of the system: November, 2011
Technology: PLM - Product lifecycle management,  SCADA,  CAD

The APPIUS company released in November, 2011 a PLM component for the system of two-dimensional modeling AutoCAD. The PLM component is the addition to the AutoCAD system which is carrying out work with a management system for engineering data 1C:PDM.

The PLM component for AutoCAD allows to receive hierarchical structures of documents at which communications are specified the relevant subordinated documents. Filling of a hierarchical order corresponds to an order of creation of communications (Xref) between documents (the specific indication of the head document and documents of subordination). At structure formation of documents in a 1C system: PDM is created the corresponding number of active documents (The active document AutoCAD) with the attached files. When preserving structure in 1C:PDM the inquiry for the indication of designation and the name which can be specified how by a selection method the text cursor directly in the document and also a set of the corresponding text in the command line is automatically submitted. After documents are placed in a system and the hierarchy is constructed, the local document revision can not be used any more, and now it is possible to work with structure of documents collectively.

The constructed electronic structure is controlled special elements in a system, so-called. "Active documents". The active document corresponds to a certain CAD system and can manage electronic structure on commands from CAD, rebuilding that part of electronic structure which is received from the relevant document. One electronic structure can be controlled several electronic documents (but not at the same time) that allows to work with one structure to several different CAD systems. Changing information of electronic structure, also information of CAD documents which is connected with this structure through the active document changes. I.e. there is a full double-sided integration of electronic structure to documents (The Assembly drawing and drawings of parts).

After the premises and formation of electronic structure begins work with uniform storage PDM from which each designer can receive all documents or a necessary part on the local workplace (W), begin to change documents, receiving if necessary the elements changed by other users. On end of a stage of change the designer can update newly created parameters which changes could be made as in a 1C system: PDM (for this purpose there is a specialized function "Update Parameters"), and in AutoCAD (for this purpose there is a specialized function "Receive Parameters").

At any change of the document it is followed also by its electronic structure constructed in PDM. Editing is performed with automatic blocking that excludes simultaneous change of the document by several designers. The work copy which is on RM of the designer can be used by it for fast opening. In this case, at the appeal to PDM, files by the digital code of integrity are checked for coincidence to the files which are in storage and in need of updating are transferred to local RM, updating the work copy. If after change of the document the designer decides to save these changes not in the basic version of the document, and in its audit, for this purpose there is a special button "Save Audit" allowing to create automatically audits of the changed documents with the placement of these audits to PDM base. Preserving by audits or as they are called still "iterations", allows to store several different options of structure of documents and to select necessary option as static structure or as managed.

At structure formation of documents secondary data view of these documents which, as a rule, is the image forms. Viewing such images (drawings), contents of documents, is performed by the built-in interface of viewing, and if desired - a component of that application in which the document was created.
